Jabong.com is an Indian fashion and lifestyle ecommerce portal. It retails apparel, footwear, accessories, beauty products, fragrances, home accessories and other fashion and lifestyle products. [2] The site started operations in January 2012. It was co-founded by Arun Chandra Mohan, Praveen Sinha and Lakshmi Potluri.[3] Currently it is spearheaded by Arun Chandra Mohan, Praveen Sinha, Manu Jain & Mukul Bafana.[4] [5]
The company is headquartered in Gurgaon, NCR. The company has launched its mobile site recently and is said to have estimated revenues to the tune of 100-150 mn USD.[6] In less than 20 months, Jabong.com has become the third-most visited online shopping website after Myntra.com and Flipkart.com. The website is currently getting 14000 orders on daily basis out of which 60% of sales are coming from small towns. [7]
Business Model
Jabong.com follows both inventory model and a controlled marketplace model.[8] In inventory model, products are sourced from brands and stored in the Jabong warehouse. In controlled marketplace model, Jabong doesn’t store the inventory but takes care of the Fulfillment, Customer Service, and Returns if any. [9]
The company's main source of promotion has been the internet.[10] However, Jabong launched its first TV campaign in March 2012.[11] A similar campaign was launched in September 2012. In Feb 2013 Jabong launched a new TVC with tagline “Fashion Nikla Mann Fisla”.[12]
Online Traffic
According to a ComScore report of September 2012, Jabong.com had the second highest amount of traffic on its website within a few months of its launch.[4] In March 2013, Jabong.com held an Alexa Traffic ranking of 44 in India.[1] Jabong also ranked 10th in Google Zeitgeist India trends making it 10th most searched term in 2012 in India.[13]
Products and Brands
Jabong stands as a Fashion and Lifestyle e-portal by selling shoes, apparels, accessories, home décor and furniture through its website. The e-store at present carries over 700+ brands and over 50,000 products.[14] Top brands include sports and lifestyle brands such as Nike, Puma, Adidas, Reebok, Asics, Fila, Skechers, Converse, Provogue, United Colors of Benetton, Woodland, Levi’s. Women apparel brands include Biba, Global Desi, W, etc. Brands such as Ray Ban, Hidesign, Elle, etc. are also available. Kids section sell brands such as Gini & Jony, 612 Ivy League, Unikid etc.

Jabong Delivery
Jabong.com offers same-day delivery in Delhi/NCR, and within 48 hours in top 10 cities and within 2–3 days in other cities and towns.[15]
JaVAS
Jabong’s logistic operations launched JaVAS as a separate service independent of Jabong. JaVAS covers around 50-55 cities and a majority of its customers are e-commerce players, though there are some offline players as well.[8]
International Foray
Jabong also has its international store Jabongworld.com. JabongWorld offers a wide range of Indian ethnic wear and western wear such as sarees, lehengas, salwar suits and dress materials, dresses, tunics etc. priced in foreign currencies like euro, UAE dirham, US dollar, Canadian dollar and Sri Lankan rupee.[16]
Association
Jabong was an online shopping partner of a film, a Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika padukone starrer Bollywood flick Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani. Jabong showcased the fashion apparels used in the movie by the movie stars.[17]
Jabong's most recent and second association with Bollywood is through movie 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag'. The movie is a biographical sports film based on the life of "Flying Sikh" Milkha Singh an Indian athlete who was a world champion runner and an Olympian. Jabong.com is sporting an exclusive collection inspired by the movie.[18]

Jabong.com received the award for the ‘Most Impactful Launch of the year’ at ‘Pitch Brands 50 Awards 2013’.[19]
According to Trust Research Advisory Jabong ranked among the top 25 trusted online brands in India.[20]
Jabong is among the top 3 ecommerce players in India when it comes to customer satisfaction.[21]
