Project Silence (Korean: 탈출: 프로젝트 사일런스; lit. Escape: Project Silence) is a 2023 South Korean disaster film co-written and directed by Kim Tae-gon. It was screened at the Midnight Screening section in the 76th Cannes Film Festival on May 21, 2023.[2][3] The film is scheduled to release theatrically in South Korea on July 12, 2024.[4]
Synopsis
The airport bridge is on the verge of collapse, and all survivors have become targets. Due to worsening weather conditions, the airport bridge has become unpredictable. People are isolated on the bridge, which is on the verge of collapse due to a chain of collisions and an explosion. Amidst this chaos, the military experimental dogs of 'Project Silence', which were being transported in secret, are released, and all survivors become their targets. These dogs indiscriminately attack the survivors, creating an uncontrollable situation.

The film put on hold for screening worldwide due to illegal drug scandal of the lead actor Lee Sun-kyun on October 2023[6][unreliable source?] before his suicide in December 2023
Release
CJ ENM said, the films distributor that Project Silence is currently under review for theatrical release on July 2024.[7]
