Crash (Korean: 크래시) is a 2024 South Korean television series written by Oh Soo-jin, directed by Park Joon-woo and starring Lee Min-ki, Kwak Sun-young, Heo Sung-tae, Lee Ho-chul, and Moon Hee. It aired on ENA from May 13, to June 18, 2024, every Monday and Tuesday at 22:00 (KST). It is also available for streaming on Disney+ in selected regions and Hulu in the United States.
Synopsis
The story follows a crime tracker on bumpy roads unfolded by a traffic crime investigation team that no one pays attention to.
Cast
Main
- Lee Min-ki as Cha Yeon-ho: the new head of TCI[note 1] and has the unique background of being a KAIST graduate. He boasts an impressive resume with multiple certifications in traffic crime investigation and has a keen analytical mind and reasoning skills based on cause and effect, and even has the ability to simulate the time of an accident but lack of social skills and inability to drive.[1]
- Kwak Sun-young as Min So-hee: the chief of TCI and an ace who can solve the cases she takes on even if it takes the world to solve them with her unique persistence and perseverance. She is a traffic crime investigator with innate quickness, practiced martial arts, and the ability to drive a car like a toy.[1]
- Heo Sung-tae as Jeong Chae-man: the team leader of TCI. A veteran homicide detective, realized the loopholes and system deficiencies in the growing number of traffic crime investigations and created TCI.[1]
- Lee Ho-chul as Woo Dong-gi: an automobile specialist who became a police officer after being noticed by Chae-man while working as a master of a car cafe. He is an expert who can analyze what kind of car it is and where it was tuned just by looking at the silhouette of the car on CCTV and listening to the sound of the engine.[1]
- Moon Hee as Eo Hyeon-gyeong: the youngest member of TCI. She has a tremendous amount of internal martial arts skills, having trained in taekwondo, judo, and boxing.[1]

Production
Development
Director Park Joon-woo and writer Oh Soo-jin teamed up for the series. Planned by KT Studio Genie and AStory managed the production.[3][4]
Casting
In December 2023, Lee Min-ki, Kwak Sun-young, and Heo Sung-tae were cast for the main roles of the series.[3]
In January 2024, Lee, Kwak, and Heo along with Lee Ho-chul and Moon Hee were officially cast to play various roles in the series.[5]
Release
Crash was reportedly scheduled to air in the second half of 2024.[3] On February 26, 2024, it is confirmed to premiere in May 2024, and will air every Monday and Tuesday.[5] Later, ENA announced the broadcast date to be on May 13, 2024, at 22:00 (KST).[6] The series will also be available to stream on Disney+ in selected regions.[7]
