Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Isaiah 7:14, but we cannot accept original research. Original research also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. The claim which you attempted to remove is verifiable in the cited reliable source. We don't allow original research trump properly cited, verifiable information. Tgeorgescu (talk) 19:37, 30 April 2014 (UTC)

July 2014
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Angel Moroni. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.
If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block.
You also ignored completely my message about wikilinks in quotes. Dougweller (talk) 20:53, 14 July 2014 (UTC)
- I saw your messsage on my talk page, hopefully you will be more careful now and other editors won't be reverting you. Dougweller (talk) 08:29, 15 July 2014 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Adam and Eve. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. DMacks (talk) 04:34, 14 August 2014 (UTC)

Hi there! Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to Muhammad in the Bible does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:

- Please read and absorb the criteria at WP:CATDEF regarding the additions of categories to articles. Pay special note to the fact that "Categorization of articles must be verifiable. It should be clear from verifiable information in the article why it was placed in each of its categories" and "A central concept used in categorising articles is that of the defining characteristics of a subject of the article". Just because a mermaid appears in a film does not make it a defining characteristic of the film. You also need to be aware that Wikis cannot be used as a source for anything in an article since the are user generated as described here WP:UGC. Understanding these guidelines and criteria can help you in your editing. OTOH if you continue to ignore them further edits can be considered disruptive and that can lead this account being blocked. Better to avoid that if you can. MarnetteD|Talk 18:49, 20 December 2014 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Cyphoidbomb. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to The Powerpuff Girls because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Diff: [1] Per WP:CAT there should be an obvious reason why categories are added to an article. I don't see a clear reason based on sourced prose for The Powerpuff Girls to be added to Category:The Devil in fiction, unless you were trying to be cute and "zing" the series in a passive-aggressive way. If that is the case, please stop. It's not cute. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 01:45, 26 January 2015 (UTC)
- More generally, there's more to WP editing than spraying categories hither and yon... Pinkbeast (talk) 17:59, 27 January 2015 (UTC)
- And the indiscriminate addition of categories is often seen from pernicious editors. I don't mean to say that you are one, Magicat, just that when we see a lot of categories being added or changed without a clear reason, it tends to look like vandalism. Here's a real world example from today. Nowhere in the article is Cartoon Network mentioned, which makes it doubtful that this was a legitimate contribution. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:28, 27 January 2015 (UTC)
Child actors
Hi MagicatthemovieS,
I noticed that you added Sarah Connor (Terminator) to Category:Child characters in film, based on Sarah being under 21 (which the category did state for just over a year). However, regardless of her age in years, the more detailed category description that follows "...articles should only be included in this category if the character's childhood experiences form a notable part of the story." would still exclude Sarah (who was over the age of majority, no longer lived with her parents, and had a regular job). To try and avoid future confusion, I also corrected the category's age basis back to the legal definition of child (which it was from 2008 creation until just over a year ago).
Regardless thank you for contributing. ―MJBurrage(T•C) 23:13, 26 January 2015 (UTC)
American films
Could you please go back and re-add Category:American films to the articles in which you removed it? I re-added it to a few, but the list is a bit long. This category is non-diffusing, and it should be in every American film. If you don't do this, it's going to create a lot of work for other people to clean up. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Welcome to New York (song), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page East Village (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Before adding a category to an article, as you did to Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, please make sure that the subject of the article really belongs in the category that you specified according to Wikipedia's categorization guidelines. Categories must also be supported by the article's verifiable content. Categories may be removed if they are deemed incorrect for the subject matter. Thank you. -- DonIago (talk) 14:50, 14 January 2016 (UTC)

Nonlinear narrative
Unless a source has commented on it, it strikes me as original research for us to categorize a work as having a nonlinear narrative. Casablanca in particular doesn't seem to have a particularly nonlinear narrative. You're welcome to ask the question at the article's Talk page if you'd like though. Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Mamma Mia! (film), but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Nothing in the article suggests that this is a "film about women". Beyond the fact that that category is at CfD, if you're going to categorize an article in such a manner, please ensure that the article substantiates it. DonIago (talk) 19:43, 29 January 2016 (UTC)

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (
or
) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Moves of Dress pages
I realise that you personally believe that your new title formats are better, but given that they have been set up the original way (which I do agree is a little clunky - it's probably not how I would have done it had I originated the titling formatting) for quite a number of years, you really should have asked on the talk pages and tried to get consensus/agreement before jumping right in and making all the moves. Virgin Mary
I don't think it is useful to flood the category with hundreds of paintings of the parts of the Passion etc which always or nearly always include her as a subsidiary figure. These can be added by added their categories as sub-categories of this one. The focus should be on paintings where she is the main figure, or one of them, or it will get too large, which it almost is already. Thanks, Johnbod (talk) 12:01, 18 April 2016 (UTC)

Moses
We have crossed each others path a few times and I wanted to reach out to you since I reverted some of your edits that deleted large amounts of prose. Nothing personal and I understand, and agree, that citations are needed and encourage you to ask for a citation before deleting text, which you have been doing on the articles I see, so thank you.
I have a side question on one of the Moses edits. Do we really want to require non-primary sources for religious articles? This seems to not fit the status quo and I am certainly not saying you are wrong, but this entire article is basically primary sourced as are almost all Biblical articles. Do you intend to have all prose backed up by secondary sources and if not, why did you pick out only Numbers 12? Lipsquid (talk) 18:35, 14 June 2016 (UTC)

Your recent attempt to nominate articles at WP:GAN
MagicatthemovieS, I'm afraid that the way to make nominations of articles for the Good Article process does not involve editing the nominations page directly. It involves adding a nomination to the talk page of the article you want to nominate. Complete instructions are at WP:GANI: I strongly recommend that you read this page thoroughly before nominating Marilyn Manson (band). (A bot builds the GAN page, so any changes you make there will be overwritten within 20 minutes, which is what happened to both of the ones that you added a little over an hour ago.)
I took a look at both of the articles you nominated, and while the band's article looks promising, the Smells Like Children article is clearly far from ready. Indeed, the sourcing of that article is well below what is required—paragraphs and quotes are left unsourced, which falls well short of what is expected. So I advise against nominating Smells Like Children until you have had time to do a major upgrade on the sourcing, at least, since it would probably be quickfailed if nominated as it stands today.
I would like to recommend that you review the Good Article criteria so you're aware of what is expected of an article for it to become a GA.
Best of luck! BlueMoonset (talk) 00:36, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
