All of these accounts have turned up at the same time on Pope Joan, making similar arguments about sources arguing for Joan's existence and similar accusations of "Catholic bias" by other editors. 189.8.107.196 started an edit war, and 179.148.187.148[1] and 191.222.109.81[2] came in supporting them, claiming they were different people than "OP". When 189.xx was blocked, 177.76.41.164 posted at WP:DRN, making the same arguments but claiming to be someone besides "OP". Today, 177.16.62.71 made the same arguments again, and reverted back a tag added by 189.xx, but claimed to be a new person entirely.
Ian.thomson notes that all the accounts geolocate to the same area and use the same writing style. Clearly some sock/meatpuppetry going on. Cúchullain t/c 03:05, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

- This is certainly a violation of WP:MULTIPLE, but without a registered account there will be little that an admin can do. Perhaps it will be useful to create a long-term abuse case page for this person. Something with a snappy name in the vein of New Order vandal. Binksternet (talk) 03:39, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
It is rather interesting that the location of said users are different cities that don't even share borders, not even have neighboring cities in common, and that are roughly 100 km apart. Saying they all locate to the same location is as ignorant as saying one user in New York thinks just the same as one other user in Boston, therefore they must be the same person... ^^ 187.88.37.39 (talk) 22:42, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
- You're not an admin, do not comment in the admin section. And of course you'd say that, you're clearly one of them. The best you can hope for is admitting you and one other person share these addresses, because there are two pairs that are in the same location, so don't try to spread red herrings as a lie. - The IPs all geolocate to Brazil, so it's possible that it's the same person or even meatpuppetry. Given that it's focused in a narrow area, semi-protection is your best bet as range blocks might be too much. Material scientist semi'd the article and everything seems to be fine for now. If it continues, I'd suggest you re-add it or make a request for it to be reinstated. Mike V • Talk 04:15, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
