The World Tamil Conferences (Tamil: உலகத் தமிழ்ச் செம்மொழி மாநாடு) are a series of occasional conferences held by the government of Tamil Nadu, which aim to unite Tamil people around the world.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi inaugurated a website www.ulakathamizhchemmozhi.org, giving details of the World Classical Tamil Conference to be held in Coimbatore from June 23 to 27 this year. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi released a exclusive Tamil Classic Album on 15th May 2010 which was composed by A.R.Rahman.
World Classical Tamil Conference Theme Song is available for download at the Hindu site
There is high demand from people to hold the WTC in Trichy, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Salem, Toronto, Jaffna, London and US.
The conference aims in promoting the rich heritage of Tamil language. Not all agree, however, with the academic rigor of the event [4].
