Azrikam (Template:Lang-he-n) is a moshav in central Israel. Located near Ashdod, it falls under the jurisdiction of Be'er Tuvia Regional Council. In 2022 it had a population of 1,538.
Etymology
The village is named after "Azrikam, a descendant of Zerubbabel".[2] (1 Chronicles 3:23)
History
The moshav was established in 1950 on the lands of the depopulated Arab village of Batnia[3] by Jewish immigrants from Tunisia, and was initially named Batnia B.[4] In the first few years, the moshav's residents lived in tents without electricity, water or gas.
