Eataly is an Italian food mall located in New York City, owned by Mario Batali[1]. It is over 50,000 square feet in size[2]. It opened on August 31, 2010[3][4][5][6].
Batali has described the place as a grocery store with tasting rooms. Mayor Michael Bloomberg attended the opening, praising Eataly for creating 300 new jobs[7].
