Keshav R. Murugesh is the Group Chief Executive Officer of WNS Global Services, a NYSE listed company in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) business. He is also the Chairman of the NASSCOM BPM Council.[1][2][3]
Early Life and Education
Keshav was born in Chennai. His father, M. K. Murugesh, is a well-known Ranji Trophy cricketer, who represented Madras and was a key member of the team that won the Ranji trophy for the first time ever, in 1955, for Madras as part of Balu Alaganan’s team. [4] Keshav’s mother, Arati Murugesh was the first manager of the first Indian Women’s cricket team and was instrumental in driving women’s cricket in India.[5]
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.[6][7]
Career
Keshav started his career in 1989 with the Internal Audit department at ITC Limited, a diversified conglomerate. He worked in various departments and businesses in ITC. He played a key role in forming ITC Infotech, and became its Vice President, Finance.[6]
Keshav joined Syntel Inc. as CFO in 2002, became its President and COO in 2004 and CEO in early 2009.[8]
In February 2010, Keshav joined WNS Global Services as its CEO. [7]
