After releasing their 2006 album, Liberation Transmission, and finishing touring the band felt they "have gotten a lot of their pop vibes out of their system" and were looking to do something different. They wanted it to sound "darker" or "nastier" and also wanted to release it faster than any previous effort. At this point the band hoped to write the album in early 2007, record over the summer, and release the album by winter. |

By Christmas of 2007 the band had recorded 14 or more songs, and pushed the release date back to summer of 2008. Although they currently have enough tracks to officially release the album, they are exploring various new ideas for the as of yet untitled album. |

The band have re-entered the studio to record the final few songs they wrote during a break from the studio. They will then pick the songs that will be released on the album. During a show at the London Astoria, frontman Ian Watkins apologised for the album's delay, but said that it was in its final stages of completion and that it would be "the best album you've ever heard, or your money back!". Visible Noise has not yet commented on this offer. |

They also debuted a new song - "It's Not the End of the World But I Can See it From Here" - on a warm up tour for their headline slot at 2008's Download Festival. In an interview conducted in July, 2008, Watkins confirmed that they were "finishing up the record," and that he expected its release to be in "late January or early February" of 2009. |
