Miznon is an Israeli chain of contemporary casual restaurants for foodies created by chef Eyal Shani with branches around the world.
The first Miznon opened in Tel Aviv in 2011.[1]
Cuisine
Miznon puts a spotlight on pita bread, served fresh from the oven with inventive fillings such as moussaka, ratatouille and lobster with crème fraîche.[2] Richard Vines, restaurant reviewer for Bloomberg, described the food at Miznon, Tel Aviv, as "superb and inexpensive... The pita itself is soft and fluffy, more like a folded pancake than bread," while the meat wrapped in side the pita bread "has great depth."[3]
Response
Writing in New Yorker food critic Hannah Goldfield describes Minzon as "a small, beloved international chain," that serves a creative array of sandwiches wrapped in pita bread so good that, "It seems almost unfair to compare Miznon pita to any other pita."[4]
Locations
Paris; Vienna; Melbourne, Australia; and now New York.[2][5] While some dishes are served across the chain, each location serves unique dishes created by Eyal for that particular neighborhood and city.[1]
