Editors for deletion (EfD), originally created by R then recreated by LaraLove Jennavecia and then given to GlassCobra, is where Wikipedians discuss whether an editor should be deleted. Editors listed here are debated for up to ∞, after which the deletion process proceeds based on Wikipedia community consensus. The editor is then either kept, merged and/or redirected, transwikied, renamed/moved to another username, or deleted, deleted and salted, or deleted, salted and peppered (with a side of onion rings) per the deletion policy.[Verify]
This page explains what you should consider before nominating, the steps for nominating single or multiple editors, and how to discuss an EfD. It also lists the editors currently under consideration and includes a 'hall of notoriety'.
Instruction creep
- You must not be listed here.
- The editor must not be listed here.
- The editor must be established and active, as new users may not understand the seriousness of this process.
- You may not list more than one editor per week.
If you want to participate in this page, the following must be met:
- You must not be listed here.
- You must understand WP:CIVIL, WP:NPA, and WP:DRRC, acknowledge that those policies apply here, as everywhere else on Wikipedia, and that any violations could result in a block. Be funny, not a dick.
- Your participation here can not exceed 1% of your regular daily edits.[Who?]
- You must agree to never revert to re-add any comment that has been removed by any administrator (or the nominated user) for any reason.
- Criteria for editor deletion
If you get past the instruction creep and understand the deletion process, consult the Criteria for editor deletion and the instructions below on how to list editors for deletion. Any debates which violate the above will be removed.
- Instructions
To list a candidate, put his or her name in a level three category below, and leave {{subst:User:GlassCobra/Editor for deletion/Talk Notice}} on the editor's talk page. When ever you feel like it, close the debate placing {{subst:User:GlassCobra/Editor for deletion/top}} at the top and {{subst:User:GlassCobra/Editor for deletion/bottom}} at the bottom.
- Nominees
Any editor nominated who finds it amusing and wishes to participate may add {{subst:User:GlassCobra/Editor for deletion/Nom}} to their userpage. Do not place this template on the userpage of another editor, even if you nominated them — they can do it themselves, if they so desire. Any editor who does not wish to participate may remove their nomination from this page at any time and list themselves on the opt out list.

TenPoundHammer and his otters
Those otters need to go. Not only do they trip you up when racing to help someone with {{helpme}}, they tweak the code to always let TPH get the upper hand of the edit conflict. This user is just too quick. Suspected bot. Stwalkerster [ talk ] 21:47, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

CountyLemonade
I have checked all the criteria and it seems I'm eligible. Anyway, it looks like I've become rather disinterested in editing so I decided to give this a go-around. References are floating around somewhere - CL — 23:58, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

- Delete Non-notable editor, tagged as needing references for several months, fails WP:BIO and WP:NOT#BATTLEGROUND. Blatant COI issues, spammy tone, etc. Delete with all due haste. GlassCobra 10:00, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

Dylan620
This time around, I am nominating... myself. As my account name implies, my name is Dylan and I am 620 years old. What?! What did you say?! --Dylan620 Contribs Sign! 19:18, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
- Delete for not specifying whether it's pronounced "Dil-lan620" or "Dye-lan620." Accuracy is of utmost importance in this delightful congregation. —La Pianista (T•C•S) 19:33, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

- Delete. I do not believe the user's claim to be 620 years old. Unfortunately, I am unable to determine whether he is really just 62 years old, or 6.2 years old. Meanwhile, this discussion is causing me to sing the They Might Be Giants song "I Am One Thousand Years Old." My family and real-life friends will confirm that anything that causes me to sing should be avoided. Newyorkbrad (talk) 16:09, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

- Merge with User:Jdelanoy. Names sound too familiar (except without the 620 part and the J of course). Chamal talk 12:56, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
- On second thoughts, the user seems to be lying. There is no way he can know he is 620 years old if he is really 620 years old. Anybody that old can only give an approximate age, such as 600/650. 620 is far too accurate, which means he is lying. Didn't we use to do something to people who lied? Lock them up in a room with some watz-his-name? Chamal talk 13:04, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
- So everyone in Category:1388 births who claims to be still alive is lying? PeterSymonds (talk) 13:07, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
- Yes. frowns at Peter... If the person is still living, he should be in Category:1358 births or Category:1408 births. Anything that says otherwise (birth certificates etc) are fake. Chamal talk 00:57, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
- Unless there was a very accurate chronicler. ;) PeterSymonds (talk) 10:17, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
- Wouldn't the correct category be Wikipedia Users born in 1388, as we are discussing an editor and not an article? --A More Perfect Onion (talk) 16:11, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

- One Christmas was so much like another, in those years around the sea-town corner now and out of all sound except the distant speaking of the voices I sometimes hear a moment before sleep, that I can never remember whether it snowed for six days and six nights when I was twelve or...oh, wrong Dylan.
