The Tangent Line
I see you redirected The Tangent Line to Mason–Dixon line#History. That would be fine but Tangent Line redirects to Tangent and the top two search results for "the tangent line" are Tangent followed by Mason–Dixon line#History. I reckon anyone typing in this phrase would be better off seeing those search results rather than being redirected to somewhere which doesn't mention or link to Tangent. What do you reckon? --Pontificalibus 13:34, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Pontificalibus: No strong feelings about it one way or another, particularly given variation in search and javascript settings, so I suggest taking it to RfD so other editors can weigh in. Bakazaka (talk) 18:18, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
- Done. Thanks for replying.--Pontificalibus 18:45, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
Sources
Because I didn't know how to add sourced, but Olamide released songs like "Poverty Die" Oreratile1207 (talk) 15:35, 17 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Oreratile1207: I understand. But without a source, your edits will probably be removed on Wikipedia. If I add information without a source, it will probably be removed too. So the easiest way to stop people from removing your edits is to add a good source. It looks like someone on your talk page has given you an example of how to add a good source for that song. Try following that example for future edits, and see if your edits stay in place. Bakazaka (talk) 19:40, 17 December 2018 (UTC)
Franz Klainsek
Hello
Thank you for moving Franz Klainsek article issue onwards towards the art section. I am new to to Wikipedia editing and want to make sure I get this right. Not sure why this article is still being submitted for deletion. Can you please advise on how to resolve the outstanding issues and format the article in accordance to the Wiki guidelines? Thank you! Did not know how to add references and what the proper rules are. Not sure if it is alright now? Thanks for your guidance.
- Looking at the history of the article, no one seems to be concerned about formatting, but many editors have had concerns about notability, conflicts of interest, and copyright. So my suggestion is to focus on addressing those concerns. For notability, use references to reliable secondary sources that discuss the subject in detail. For conflict of interest concerns, disclose any connections you may have to the subject, following the instructions at WP:DISCLOSE and, if applicable, WP:COIPAYDISCLOSE. For copyright concerns, do not add images or text from other sites without an explicit license to do so, and use your own words when writing text. Bakazaka (talk) 19:22, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
Thank you Bakazaka I have addressed these issues as I know best. Do you have any further feedback for me? Thank you.Artlover06 (talk) 23:46, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
- I don't have an opinion about the article, only some vague advice about the process: deletion discussions take at least a week, so there's no rush, and even though it's tempting to respond to every single point in detail, it's best to give other editors a chance to weigh in if you've been commenting a lot. You've already shown how you've tried to address other editors' concerns, so maybe wait a bit and see if other editors think that's enough to keep the article. Thanks
Yes, it does seem that this student try to create a few stubs related to their main topic (Korean variety show) but they are unreferenced and there are no English sources so it will be difficult to rescue them. And since the grades are out, it is doubtful any students will want to fix things. I try to make them finish early, there are deadlines and such, but there is only so much I can do... The student never told me she created those stubs, never asked for advice... and now the class is finished :< --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 11:02, 25 December 2018 (UTC)
Deletion Sorting aviation accidents
The pages they get sorted to are- Aviation, Events, Transportation, and location of where the accident took place. If the accident is military, Military deletion sorting is also appropriate. I removed Ohio deletion sorting from WP:Articles for deletion/PSA Airlines Flight 5320 because there is nothing Ohio related about the accident. Not even where the plane was headed to. I did add Events and Transportation....William, is the complaint department really on the roof? 18:46, 28 December 2018 (UTC)
- @WilliamJE: Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. PSA Airlines is based in Ohio, raising the prospect of local coverage of the company there, but I'm fine with following the usual conventions if it brings the right eyes to the discussion. Bakazaka (talk) 20:18, 28 December 2018 (UTC)
