Hi, I believe this edit was yours. For the sake of the pl-challenged among us, could you elaborate on the source? Does it meet WP:RS? Other published sources seem to use other explanations, so we need extraordinary evidence.216.239.88.90 (talk) 06:57, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Bot activity
I was going over the list of bots and noticed that Halibott (talk · contribs) has not edited in a very long time. Is this bot still active and if not, would you object to it being de-flagged? Please post your comments to Wikipedia_talk:Bots/Requests_for_approval#Dead_bots since this is a rather widely-posted message. MBisanz talk 06:35, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:1Baon1PPLeg Radom-Kielce 1944.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:1Baon1PPLeg Radom-Kielce 1944.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:04, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the improvements to Szmul Zygielbojm. I have a question about the Wikilink to Borowice that I hope you can answer.
Borowice is a disambiguation page. Do you know whether Zygielbojm was born in Borowice, Lower Silesian Voivodeship or in one of the "other places called Borowice"?
Thank you. — Malik Shabazz (talk · contribs) 20:29, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clarification. This seems to confirm that Borowica in the Lublin Voivodeship is correct. — Malik Shabazz (talk · contribs) 22:31, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi, i would like to ask you if i can use your maps, of course your signature will stay. Pozdro

- Thanks for permission. I just wanted to be fair and ask (it`s your work after all). Don`t worry, i only want to change colours here and there. Since i`m not the master of Adobe PS (rarher Corel), i think that MS Paint will be ok:) Mikołajski (talk) 00:01, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- Don`t uderpreciate Paint, it`s a primitive tool, but in right hand it can draw something like this :) Anyway, at now i only want to fill some fields, like in this picture, which is confuseing, looks like PLC gained Livonia and east Ukraine from Muscovy in 1618 (no to mention lack of description), and that`s featured article... come on. Mikołajski (talk) 09:47, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks, but it`s not as detailed as it should be if it goes for Polish-Muscovite war (1605–1618) or other events, simply i just want to have your permission to edit that maps and to use them in accurate, historical context. Map in that war-template isn`t showeing which area was aquired in war and which belonged to PLC already.
- Btw. Shouldn`t be Estonia also marked as "area lost etc."? After all Zygmunt III Vasa as a Swedish King promised it in Pacta Conventa, and after Karl of Sudermania rebel, it was officially annexed (for a brief period, but still). Mikołajski (talk) 11:14, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hurra, thanks once again. If i`ll want to make some bigger edits and need that lyers, i`ll let you know. Mikołajski (talk) 11:43, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Translation required.
Hi Halibutt,
Can you help with Wikipedia:Translation/Evidence, or suggest someone who can ?
(See Wikipedia:Help desk#Status of a requested translation - again.)
I would be happy with a literal translation of techinical terms, rather than a full ontological translation.
Peet Ern (talk) 07:40, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry to chase you, but how goes the translation? Cheers. Peet Ern (talk) 02:25, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
- Yes - sorry I replied on my talk page - see User talk:Pee Tern/2008-Jan-Jun#Evidence (2). Peet Ern (talk) 23:07, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- PS: the wording was a bit wrong / confusing! Sorry. Peet Ern (talk) 23:16, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Personal attacks against Lokyz
Hali, edits like this or that against a long term productive editor are unacceptable, please stop it.
Regarding the references that Lokyz is removing, I understand they were challenged since November 2007. If you have some sort of access to the references is it that difficult to scan a few pages or to find a Google book link or a online copy of the publications? Or, alternatively, if all the references are suppose to demonstrate is just a "widespread English-language usage" of a particular name spelling then it should not be that difficult to provide other references that are easier to access? Maybe we can follow Piotrus's suggestion and drop the Polish spelling from the lead? I am not an expert in Jonas Basanavičius but I have never heard Piotrus been accused in anti-Polish editing Alex Bakharev (talk) 00:03, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
