Thanks...
...for the note on your userpage. I know that I was a little tough on you towards the end there - that's just because I thought we were losing ground on the CMR progress. I do kinda feel like it was a raw deal with the whole BG7 thing seeing as how he was vindicated in the end, but that's in the past now. If you do decide to come back, and it's a fresh start, feel free to email me and I'll keep things in confidence. Or if not, best of luck in your future endeavours. xeno (talk) 12:37, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Your comment on User talk:Fredrick day
[1]. Sadly, I think he will continue to withdraw, if anyone points out the problems. My response to him was stern, but was actually not opposing his unblock, merely his unblock without conditions. It would be essential that he understand and acknowledge just what he did and why it was so disruptive and damaging, and, unfortunately, if he can't tolerate criticism, there isn't any hope of that. So, I suppose, it was a kind of test. I don't like to test people, because I don't like to see them fail. But it happens, anyway. If his friends had guided him and restrained him, maybe he'd still be editing, so, if you are his friend, by all means, encourage him to learn a little WP:DGAF, in the healthy way. His major project was deletion of cruft, and if that is going to be done, it is essential that it be done with civility and even more than civility, assisting fans and other authors as to how they can help create articles on the subjects they love, i.e., by finding reliable source, meeting notability standards, etc. Treat them as enemies of the project and what they love as garbage .... not good. (And then, of course, treating any editor who restrains you as your enemy, a dangerous and tenacious bulldog, is merely an extension of this.) Good luck --Abd (talk) 15:15, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
