Re: CookieElan26/BatYisraelThe Elan26 account is several months older than the BatYisrael account; you should probably be blocking the latter rather than the former. Jayjg (talk) 23:52, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
Pls restore protection for Hilary Duff articleI notice that u unprotected Hilary Duff article on 31st July. Since then there has been steady vandalism (see [1], [2], [3] and many more....There's a really stubborn anon ip fellow who keeps changing Santa claus lane to "studio albums list". I would request you to pls restore the "indefinite semi-protect" status for the article. Thanx... Gprince007 (talk) 11:08, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Were you going to inform the candidate that you'd closed his nomination early? I didn't see a notice on his talk page, unless I'm going blind, and wanted to make sure you had the opportunity to do so as you were the one to close the nom. Shereth 21:59, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Probably need to keep an eye on that for a bit. When Hagger does stuff like this, it usually happens in waves. HalfShadow 23:43, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Sorry if I bugged you, but can you check out this page? I've marked the article in question as a hoax waiting for deletion. What do you think? Blake Gripling (talk) 01:02, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Here's your cookie: God Bless and enjoy... Blake Gripling (talk) 02:45, 13 August 2008 (UTC) AfD nomination of Augeant![]() The page move vandalOn that issue I took to AN earlier, I thought you should know, the only reason I took it there was because I tried rolling back the edits of Doubtonly, and it didn't work. I tried manually moving the pages back myself, and it wouldn't let me do that either. You cited WP:RBI in your resolved template, so I just wanted to explain myself a bit. Wikipedia talk:WikiProject The SimpsonsI noticed that you removed some personal info that was added to the page. I didn't get a chance to see it, it wasn't about me, was it? -- Scorpion0422 17:35, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
cascading protectionSorry, I didn't know how it worked in userspace. Thanks! - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 19:53, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
SumerophileHey, you may want to get in touch with Daniel regarding this rangeblock. Apparently this rangeblock was lifted due to massive collateral damage, per advice from the developers. Blueboy96 19:56, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Thank youI've been using Twinkle for several years now, so I have at least a small understanding of how rollback works. I will do my best to only use this new power to ann^H^H^H help the project. :) DarkAudit (talk) 21:33, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
ThanksThanks for giving me rollback. I actually had to look up what you meant by "twinkle". ha. Anyway, thanks. Cavenba (talk • contribs) 06:22, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
How on earth did you manage to do three approvals in the time it took me just to get ONE count from toolserver? Do you have a shortcut or something? ;) --Rodhullandemu 22:22, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
Block requestHi there. Can you please block User:HabsMTL? He or she is causing trouble on the List of World Wrestling Entertainment employees article. For the past 2-3 days, he/she has been engaging in edit wars, violating WP:OVERLINK. I've left that policy shortcut on almost all of my edits to prevent overlinking on that article and have even tried discussing it on his/her talk page, but this user constantly ignores them. I know it's minor, but it's getting really annoying. Miztahrogers (talk) 04:18, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Sorry, I'll take your comment into consideration. I'm still kinda getting familiar with all the policies around here, and am trying to be a better wikipedian. Thanks for everything Miztahrogers (talk) 18:03, 15 August 2008 (UTC) RFCUMy bad. I wasn't sure how strict the guidelines were. 1 Year of the Collaboration of the WeekHello again to those of WikiProject Oregon. It is time again for another Collaboration of the Week. The last two weeks were a Stub Improvement Drive, and thank you to those who improved any Stubs. This week marks the one week anniversary of the COTW, so a brief highlight reel:
And now on with our countdown. This week we have two requests, the Willamette Meteorite and Tom McCall. Hopefully we can get both to GA quality. Click here to opt out of these messages, or click here to make a suggestion for a future COTW. Thank you. Aboutmovies (talk) 09:45, 15 August 2008 (UTC) Request for rollback (pls)Hi! Just like to ask permission for rollback to be enabled on my account? I'd like some practice at counter-vandalism. Thanks again! PS Nice userpage, most of us can't be bothered to learn/make that... Bramlet AbercrombieHi. Saw your indef block notice on Bramlet's page. Just wondering where the block was discussed and why there is no notice on his talk page? --Regents Park (paddle with the ducks) 16:15, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

Unprotecting pagesI looked at my watchlist, and I thought I might have been looking at the protection log instead. LOL. -- iMatthew T.C. 01:59, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Protection of pagesHello Tiptoety. I notice that you have unprotected some pages today such as Chris Benoit. I can't blame you 'cause it's a shame that a bunch of people are barred from editing those pages just because of a few silly vandals, but I feel that you should be reminded to keep your eyes peeled—those articles are still vunerable. Cheers, ~ Troy (talk) 02:11, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Another Wiki_brah/JeanLatore sock?See the contribs for Pernambuco Boy (talk · contribs). The same interests as usual. The AfD looks interesting too. Regards. Delicious carbuncle (talk) 03:00, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
unprotectingThanks indeed for your work in monitoring the protection of articles. I notice you've unprotected Handel. I'm not much connected with that article, but could I put in a request that the semiprotect on JS Bach be retained indefinitely. For years, teenage boys doing their school music assignments on this iconic composer (I suspect it's them) have been inserting obscene juvenilia, sometimes blanking the whole article in the process. It's been such a relief to have the article semiprotected over the past ?year. Tony (talk) 03:15, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Knock knock
PonyCan you kindly re-protect pony? It was on permanent semi-protection for the same reason many of the other main animal articles are: elementary school kid vandalism on a near-constant basis. On top of that, ponies seem to provoke the same kind of vandal rage that articles on things like Barney the Purple dinosoaur do. Things may be quiet at the moment, but come Back to School time, we are just going to have to reprotect it. I know that there are constant debates about permanently protecting wikipedia articles, but if we are going to continue to protect (and we do protect) cat, dog, horse, cow, etc., pony most certainly needs to be in that category. It won't ever end until this whole type of "tee hee" kid vandalism ends. So thanks in advance if you could restore that protection tag. Thanks. Montanabw(talk) 04:31, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Unprotecting Poop DeckYou have an amazing faith in human nature. It is not the "length of time" that is important here. WP gets many new imbeciles every day, and one of those imbeciles will look for poop and turn the article on its head again. "Gosh, that was fun, let's look for cock and shit now!" You may think it to be worth a try, but it truly is not. The only solution is permanent semi-protection, otherwise you just encourage the schoolyard to giggle in corners. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 06:43, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Your unprotectionsI see that you just unprotected half of Wikipedia (giving the reason "its been long enough, let's give this another try"). Has there been prior discussion about this? Cheers, Face 10:47, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Your continuing unprotectionsOh noes not another one. Just wanted to say good work. I expect half the articles will be locked up again within a week, but there'll be another half that won't need to be. -- zzuuzz (talk) 14:50, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
au contraire!Got a rule not to revert more than once on a given page per 24 hours. Just checked. Haven't broken it. *wipes brow* --Asdfg12345 17:01, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
I agree with your sentiments.--Asdfg12345 17:06, 16 August 2008 (UTC) Happy cat RFAI've removed it from the RFA main page. I see no indication the editor wanted it transcluded. It is a valid question, though...Why not just permanently redirect-protect the page? It's not like anyone would ever need to move it, unless they were an admin, and admins can do it anyway. HalfShadow 01:32, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
ThanksI was OK with waiting but I'm glad you reconsidered. Best regards - Apertus (talk) 02:35, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Rollbacker?Hi Tiptoety. I have more than a few pages on my watchlist that require a fairly regular dose of undo due to clear vandalism. Rollback would be handy, especially in cases where more than one of the most recent naughty edits are by the same editor. Take care, user:j (aka justen) 18:57, 17 August 2008 (UTC) User:FolksongDon't be ridiculous. Did you have an actual reason other than handwaving, knee-jerk assumptions of bad faith, and automatic and unthinking support of Ryan Postlethwaite? A little reading would help. Hint 1: read the deletion log for User talk:Folksong. Hint 2: Read User:Folksong. Not too difficult, really, so I'm sure you can do it. --Calton | Talk 19:59, 17 August 2008 (UTC) Oh, and look, the policy-violating nonsense that is User:Folksong has been restored by 76.208.191.18 (talk · contribs), maker of quality edits such as [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=GM_Daewoo&diff=prev&oldid=232535131 this. Good choice you've made, there. --Calton | Talk 20:12, 17 August 2008 (UTC) Edit warring in Falun Gong articlesUser:Dilip rajeev is a Falun Gong practitioner and propagandist with a history of non-NPOV edits, point-pushing, disruptive editing and reverting. He is an unrepentant persistent offender who gives wikipedia a bad name. The last block was for 48 hours - and I am wondering how you came to block him for 55 hours? Ohconfucius (talk) 01:53, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
I declined the unblock from this editor, who was hit by a rangeblock you placed. If this guy is in fact User:WJH1992, we probably don't want to help him create an account. I wonder how we determine this? EdJohnston (talk) 15:04, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

I know you're trying to help, children's best interests and so on, but in the case of tharnton345, please bear in mind that WP:CHILD is not policy, nor a guideline - it's an essay that never reached any kind of consensus or got wide exposure to the Wikipedia community for much comment. In all honesty I think that the rate this is going, tharnton will be blocked anyway for immaturity, edit warring, POV pushing and constant violation of NPA within 3 months. —Vanderdecken∴ ∫ξφ 17:03, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
review? You declined the unblock of Neptune something. See RFCU, this person is unrelated. Also, please unprotect the person's user talk page. If they come back, I wish to ask them the nature of their dispute about Chile. If they have a valid dispute, I will assist in peacemaking. If they do not have a valid dispute, I will end efforts. I have some knowledge and interest about Chile and also a desire to end conflict in order to improve WP. 903M (talk) 04:59, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
