I see you categorized at least two red algae articles (Peyssonnelia and Cruoriopsis) into :Category:Eukaryotes. As far as I can tell, they should instead be in a subcategory of that category, presumably :Category:Red algae. I mention this in case there are other articles affected by this. Troublesome user
I noticed that you have had some interaction with LAVINA4194 (talk · contribs). In addition to the problems you have warned him about, I would like to point out that all of the pages he has created about Ohio politicians are referenced using a Google books search link that does not result in a page that verifies the information provided in the article. I have mentioned this on the user's talk page, but I thought you might like to keep an eye on the situation. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:41, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Sylvia Jones
A tag has been placed on Sylvia Jones requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding
hangon
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - Mcmatter (talk|contrib) 20:06, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- sorry I removed the Copyvio instead- Mcmatter (talk|contrib) 20:22, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
Marking things as Uncategorized
I noticed that you're using AWB to "categorize" articles. For some reason, you're tagging a bunch of articles that do have categories (for example Bijou (cocktail)) as uncategorized. Is this a fault of AWB, a mistake on your part, or me misunderstanding something? Qwyrxian (talk) 08:44, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
- Agreed, you are ignoring categories that are added with a template, such as a stub template. ▫ JohnnyMrNinja 02:20, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
Creed of the United States Coast Guardsman
Your deletion of the article Creed of the United States Coast Guardsman is erroneous. This material is property of the Federal Government and was written by VADM Harry G. Hamlet for use by the United States Coast Guard. It is available on the web at this official Coast Guard website. Your deletion did not give me the courtesy of a notice on the page requesting a deletion or a chance to rebut your actions. The website that I reference here was a part of the references noted in the article and had you bothered to follow the link you would see that the use of the Creed is legitimate under public ownership. As such it is not copywritable. I request that you reverse you deletion of the article and in the future be just a little more careful before pulling the plug. Thank you for your cooperation in the correction of this error Cuprum17 (talk) 17:13, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
- I have to second that. I saw your response, where you cited that it was merely a text dump. That may or may not be true, but it is not a valid speedy deletion criteria; the one you gave was a copyright violation, but there is no copyright on public domain works. I request that you undelete the article and prod or place it at AfD if you still feel the same way; this should have a chance to go through the proper avenues. bahamut0013wordsdeeds 20:52, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi there, just wondered what the reason was for removing South Wales Valleys from Category:Geography of Wales. Daicaregos (talk) 22:51, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the Talkback or Tb template.

Barb Higgins Deletion
Hi, I noticed that on July 31 you deleted the Page "Barb Higgins" for the reason (A7: No explanation of the subject's significance (real person, animal, organization, or web content). I would like to ask that you reconsider this deletion as Ms. Higgins is currently a candidate for mayor of Calgary and according to two recent polls she is the frontrunner (http://www.globaltvcalgary.com/Calgarians+putting+their+support+behind+upcoming+Civic+Election/3337533/story.html). As the Mayoral election approaches voters will be looking to Wikipedia for information on the candidates, and many of the others have active pages. If she wins, which appears likely, we will certainly want to have a municipal politics page on her. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lola60311 (talk • contribs) 17:07, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
Michael Laxer article deletion debate
Hi Bearcat:
The Michael Laxer is being proposed for deletion 1. He is a current political candidate in the Toronto municipal elections, for city councillor in Ward 6, Etobicoke Lakeshore. Could you please put a stop to this, until at least after the October 25th election. The article is of course, as usual in many of these cases, poorly written.--Abebenjoe (talk) 16:43, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
Red algae category
I see you categorized at least two red algae articles (Peyssonnelia and Cruoriopsis) into Category:Eukaryotes. As far as I can tell, they should instead be in a subcategory of that category, presumably Category:Red algae. I mention this in case there are other articles affected by this. United Kingdom and Great Britain
Hi Bearcat
In this edit, you added Category:Members of the United Kingdom Parliament for English constituencies to a person who died in 1797. I have replaced this with Category:Members of the Parliament of Great Britain for English constituencies because he could not actually have been a member of the Parliament of the United Kingdom; in his lifetime the Parl at Westminster was the Parliament of Great Britain. The United Kingdom Parliament was not created until 1801.
