Lead: county should be capitalized. "The route" begins two consecutive sentences. RD: "in a patch of forests" - through? Homes are "spontaneous"? "Once Keefs Hill Road is passed," ? You use "patch" a lot. 2nd paragraph - you begin two consecutive sentences with "the route". "However, the southern terminus of the highway was not at first an intersection with Pennsylvania Route 706. Instead, it was an intersection with State Route 67." - seems a bit awkward. In the history, you start a lot of sentences with "However,".
I assume you're sourcing the vegetation part with satellite imagery? Otherwise, that's good.
An image would be nice. Neutral, stable, broad, etc.
