History
In 1988, Charles Goldstuck began as a music publisher for Warner/Chappell Music. Goldstuck then joined Capitol Records and eventually assumed the position of Executive Vice President. Ten years later, he became Executive Vice President/General Manager of Arista Records.[5]
In 2000, Goldstuck co-founded J Records with Clive Davis, an independent label with financial backing from Arista parent Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG). In 2001, J Records released Alicia Keys debut album, Songs in A Minor, which sold over 6.2 million copies and earned five Grammy Awards boosting the J Records value. BMG would then buy a majority stake in J Records in 2002 and he would become president of the RCA Music Group.[6][7]
By 2004, Goldstuck became President and COO of the Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG), overseeing business operations of the BMG music labels, which included the RCA Music Group, J Records, Arista Records, and the Zomba Label group.[8]
Goldstuck left BMG and joined TouchTunes Interactive Networks as an investor and was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer prior to becoming Executive Chairman in 2009. At TouchTunes, he designed and developed the next generation Virtuo digital jukebox that is a "platform" by which many different kinds of digital media can be delivered to customers in bars and restaurants.[9][10]
At TouchTunes, Goldstuck secured exclusive jukebox license of The Beatles and in 2017 merged the company with PlayNetwork.[11]
