I'd like to suggest a change to the Telstra CEO fan page of David Thodey
It mentions under his Career section;
- David is the Chairman of Telstra subsidiary TelstraClear in New Zealand and Chairman of Basketball Australia.
But in fact, the Chairman is Diane Smith-Gander. See: http://www.basketball.net.au/index.php?id=438
I'd also like to suggest a royalty free image from our Corporate About Telstra page be added to his profile. Download from : www.telstra.com.au/abouttelstra/media-centre/photos/index.htm?SearchContent=Yes&CategoryID=2

- Where on the Telstra site does it say the image is free? The only reference I found was the Terms Of Use, which state that "You must not otherwise reproduce, transmit (including broadcast), communicate, adapt, distribute, sell, modify or publish or otherwise use any of the material on a Telstra Website, including audio and video excerpts, except as permitted by statute or with our prior written consent." I don't see anywhere in the photos section where the reproduction, adaptation, distribution, and sale of the photographs is allowed.
- As for whether he's the chairman, that's better discussed at Talk:David Thodey; more editors with an interest in the article about him will see the comment there.
- One more thing: since you refer to it as "our Corporate About Telstra page," you'll probably also want to look through the guidelines for editing when you have a conflict of interest. —C.Fred (talk) 00:39, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
- …Though looking at your user page now, it looks like you've probably already read that guideline. Thank you for being a step ahead of the game, as it were. —C.Fred (talk) 00:41, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
- thanks for the tips first up, sorry if I mislead about the images, but it is a page I manage for Telstra so I can confirm the image is ok for use by media (I would count Wikiepedia as a form of media and have consulted with a rep from the CEO office that this is acceptable). There is a par just under the header image that states "The image gallery contains photos of Telstra executives, events and Telstra products and services. Images are available for download for use by media in high resolution JPG format." - How Wikipedia is counted isn't the issue. For that image to be usable on Wikipedia, it has to be licensed as free content. That means that the image will be free for reuse—including modification and commercial reuse by any and all users—with only attribution due back to the rights holder (Telstra). The non-free content criteria are pretty strict, especially when the subject of the article is a living person, so there are many opportunities to obtain a free image. —C.Fred (talk) 01:06, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
