Ashtul was obsessed by the Israeli settlements Carmel/Susya. He was topic-banned by User:HJ Mitchell this spring, lifting of topic-ban [was later declined]. Ashtul argued that the article Susya should be decided in 3; "This article is a joke. It is 3 different sites compiled in one. The info of the archaeological site is clear but no useful info can be found on either Israeli or Palestinian Susya." Though he argued for dividing it into three, he never got a majority for this. Ashtul was also rather obsessed with User:Nishidani; most of his sandbox was about him.
- "New user" User:Settleman comes along, (just when Ashtul data is stale?), knowing everything there is about out WP:BEBOLD-policy, and without further discussion does exactly what Ashtul argued for, namely splitting the article into 3. Massive disruption follows.
- Sounds like a duck, looks like a duck to me, Huldra (talk) 21:26, 28 July 2015 (UTC)
- On Talk:Susya:
- 1 March 2015, Ashtul: "This article is a joke. It is 3 different sites compiled in one. The info of the archaeological site is clear but no useful info can be found on either Israeli or Palestinian Susya." (Ashtul´s last comment on that page)
- 27 July 2015, Settleman: ""the article is completely unreadable the way it is right now. The archaeological site section is OK but the rest seems like a jungle of events and opinions which makes it very hard to read and understand. In the 'Modern Era' part it goes back and forth between the settlement and the village which isn't comprehensible. It makes complete sense to make 3 articles" (Settleman´s second comment on that page) Nobody else has made the same argument during that period, or after/before. - It is my opinion that this is not a sock of Ashtul. The edit summaries and contributions are too dissimilar. However, I did not have too many interactions with Ashtul, so my opinion shouldn't carry too much weight. Kingsindian ♝♚ 14:19, 17 August 2015 (UTC)
- In Israel we say - "Go, prove, you don't have a sister".
- Susya is on the news lately and looking at wikipedia, the article looked very bad. Everything about the Palestinians and settlers is complied into one huge section that compromise 2/3 of the article and is impossible to read. Looking on other town in the area I saw that Carmel is seperated, and Dura, Adora, Har Hebron and Adurim. I mentioned Carmel because I took from it the redirect at the page top. - @Settleman: Can you clarify that statement? It looks like it may detract from the case. —Skyllfully (talk | contribs) 04:19, 10 September 2015 (UTC)

- Additional information needed - @Huldra: Ashtul's data is Stale. We have to decide based on behavior only. PLease, add diffs of edits made by Settleman and comment their similarity to Ashtul's edits. Vanjagenije (talk) 21:39, 28 July 2015 (UTC)
- @HJ Mitchell: can you take a look at this? You was the one who issued him the topic-ban, so maybe you can recognize hi behavior. Vanjagenije (talk) 23:29, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
- Indeffing both sock and master. Ashtul is in violation of his Arbcom topic ban which is the reason for making his block indefinite. Closing.
