question on graphic
Hi there, i am curious, what did you use to create this graphic ?
-Arnþór Snær —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Arnthorsnaer ( • contribs) .
- Hello, Arnþór. I created that graphic using Adobe Photoshop CS2. It's not difficult to do, since they are basically just colored and rounded boxes with layer effects. If you would like it, I can upload the original PSD file. --Michiel Sikma 19:53, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
Speedrun image
I don't think you'll have a problem, as you were the editor who removed the image, but as a courtesy I wanted to tell you that I've marked for speedy deletion as an orphaned image claiming fair use. You may want to mark for speedy deletion if you do not intend to use it. Thanks! Pagrashtak 01:32, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
- I've marked it as speedy deletion as well. I would have done so when I removed them, but I figured that the seven day deadline would be plenty. I'm going to miss that cool image! --Michiel Sikma 09:00, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
Kobra's Realm on RPG Maker article
Who decides what is noteworthy? Kobra's Realm has been around for THREE YEARS! I'd say that's noteworthy. Just because it doesn't meet your statistical requirements doesn't mean it's not a noteworthy website.
Also: it once had nearly 2000 members but the datacenter that housed the server burned to the ground and that data was lost.
Maybe you should be more sensetive about who you accuse of Vandalism. It's still a recovering website, but it's as noteworthy as any other. Especially to the ex-members of the old community, Dark Dominion.
I think the word "FASCIST" describes your actions pretty well. 22:18, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
- Despite your attitude, I'll reply to this message. To others who read my talk page: I've removed this person's site from the external links section of the RPG Maker article as I did not deem it noteworthy enough. The reason why I removed it was because there's a clear consensus on that article's talk page to remove sites that aren't noteworthy enough; it was used almost exclusively to spam sites before this policy. To the anonymous user: please read the talk page. It says there that if you'd like to contest the removal of your site from that section, you may do so on that very same page. If you want your site to be in there, feel free to give arguments as to why your site is important to the RPG Maker community. --Michiel Sikma 22:24, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
Hi
Hi Michiel, thanks for your message on my talk page. Hope to see you around (I'm sure I will; we both seem to have an interest in the Mac articles among others). If you need any help, just ask. Graham 23:29, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
Grave accent
Sorry, but grave accent did not meet the criteria and heance has not gained GA status. Please review the detailed resoning on the talk page. Thanks! --Celestianpower háblame 12:25, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
Userspace document
I did'nt categorize it intentionally [2]. It's essentially a copy and paste from a deleted article. The cat was simply still there. Could you ask before making such accusations..? -ZeroTalk 10:40, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, I didn't know that. I simply assumed that this was an article that was being made in your user page before making it go live. But what does it matter, anyway? I didn't accuse you of anything bad. Either way, the category should not be there. —Michiel Sikma, 10:43, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
- No, in fact I'm contemplating an deletion of this userspce document and I support the deletion of the article it was merged into later, so its nelligible. Sorry if I came of a little scruppsih. You're right about the respective category as well. I missed removing that; thank you for doing so. -ZeroTalk 11:09, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

Userbox thingamajig
Yes, it was 'borrowed' from yours! LOL! I tend to take things and modify them to my preferences as I have not much knowledge of all these codes or what not. --Charlie Huang 【正矗昊】 07:17, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
- Heh, that's great. Maybe I should make it into a template. —Michiel Sikma, 08:14, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
- And I've just done that to mines already! Now I'm up to more fiddling with my added top menu stolen from some other page... --Charlie Huang 【正矗昊】 11:38, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
Credit or copyright
Hi Msikma! I see you have removed the copyright on the article about Photoshop contest. In my opinion there should, at least, be a (frontpage)credit. So I have added a credit instead of the copyright which I agree is unnecessary. If your opinion is that the Credit also should be removed, please give a motivation to be discussed on my talk page. I have posted some arguments for the benefit of credits in the existing discussion. Thank you. --Profero 14:17, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

Fixing news article to British English
I must say I find the fact that you deleted my argument in Wikipedia:Main Page/Errors very offensive. Someone wanted something fixed, I stated that he was wrong and that there is no reason for such a fix to occur, and then you come in and "fix" it by removing the entire argument, including my reasoning, and say "I agree", before doing what he asked. Do you really know what the situation outside of the UK in Europe is when it comes to the usage of English? Do you realize that due to the media, which most people learn English from, usually use American English? Surely, I don't care about the fact you edited one news entry to British English, even though I'm sure it's stated somewhere that edit (wars) should never be about which spelling to use, but I do think that assuming that everybody in Europe outside of the UK speaks British English is narrow-minded. I think that saying "I agree" with no further reasoning while you yourself are from the UK is no way to end such an argument, and I'd have expected differently from an admin. —Michiel Sikma, 15:14, 18 May 2006 (UTC) (Preceding comment was posted on UkPaolo's talk page.)
- Whoa... I can only apologise that your argument was seemingly deleted and disregarded, I an assure you this was not intentional and I would, too, feel aggrieved in your position. I never read your message, nor intended to delete it, the fact that this happenned was accidental. In fact, it would seem I accidentally deleted a number of users replies: something I shall rectify in a minute. To be honest, if I had have read your message, I wouldn't have made the change — I only did so since one user had requested it, I agreed with it, and nobody had voiced any opposition. I can't really explain further what happenned, perhaps I mistakenly edited an old revision of the page. You have my apologies. └UkPaolo/talk┐ 15:22, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
- PS — just to let you know I have now restored the deleted comments on Wikipedia:Main Page/Errors. I fully support your suggestion of linking to 2006 Champions League Final and have changed the template accordingly. Sorry again for my mistake! └UkPaolo/talk┐ 15:30, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
- I'm glad that my findings were mainly due to an accident. Sorry for the accusations! Thanks for the quick and good-natured reply. I appreciate it that you're willing to apologize. In case you're wondering, I don't think that the changes you have made should be reverted, since I think edits that just change which international spelling is used are (usually) moot. —Michiel Sikma, 15:43, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
On speedrun change
Hello, Cybertooth85. I just reverted an edit you did to the Speedrun article. I disagree with moving the notable games for speedrunning section to its own article. Since the change was rather large and because the state the section was after the move was done was pretty awfully silent, I'd like to ask of you to use the talk page before doing such a thing. Thanks. —Michiel Sikma, 16:27, 20 May 2006 (UTC) I see that you actually did use the talk page, but you didn't bother discussing such a change. Maybe we can do so afterall. —Michiel Sikma, 16:29, 20 May 2006 (UTC) (Preceding comment was posted on Cybertooth85's talk page.)
- Yeah, I assumed someone would change it pretty quickly, Michael. I'm not out to get into a revert war, but the amount of size given to that one section compared to the others is significant, and it's largely documenting fandom information. Split off into its own article, it's still accessible, the work is preserved, but people don't need to wade through it to get to the rest of the main speedrun article. This is what I outlined on the talk page after I made the move. Cybertooth85 16:30, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
- Please see the talk page. We can discuss this. —Michiel Sikma, 16:34, 20 May 2006 (UTC) PS: my name isn't Michael.
Re-recording
Please move articles only and exclusively when the original name is actually needed by another topic. Right now there's no Re-recording except for a redirect. What was the reason for the move? Because "some other topic may appear there sometime" isn't exactly a good reason. Not that it matters much, but it seems like total moot to me. —Michiel Sikma, 06:32, 22 May 2006 (UTC) PS: maybe we should ask an admin to move Re-recording (sound/film) to Re-recording? (Preceding comment was posted on Blainster's talk page.)
- I left a message suggesting this change on the Re-recording article talk page on 5 May, with no response either way for two weeks. Prior to my moves, Re-recording pointed to the article on video gaming, and Re-record pointed to the article on sound and film recording. Since these two words are just noun and verb forms of the same root word, this presented a disambiguation problem, because the subject article found in a search depended on whether the verb or the noun was entered. Since there are only two articles to disambiguate, a separate DAB page is not needed. The solution could have been to move only the less-frequently used subject to a "Title (qualifier)" style, but in this case, while a google search gives 15 times as many hits (3.3 million vs 240,000) for "re-recording + sound + film" as for "re-recording + video game", the video game article on WP was much more developed. Therefore I chose to qualify both titles, and provide the standard DAB statement at the top of each article. As you pointed out, this leaves the unqualified title "Re-recording" as a redirect, but this is a minor issue compared to users easily finding the article they want. --Blainster 16:27, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, I never saw that. I still think it's probably cleanest to let one article reside at Re-recording, but I guess that a redirect qualifies. I'll change it to redirect to the other article, though, since that one is much more noteworthy. Thanks for your elaborate response. —Michiel Sikma, 17:58, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
