'''Storozhynets''' ({{lang-uk|Сторожинець}}, translit. ''Storozhynets’'', Romanian: Storojineţ) is a City located in the Chernivtsi_Oblast (province) of western Ukraine, north of the border with Romania. It is the administrative center of the Storozhynetskyi_Raion (district), and is located approximately 20 km south-west of the oblast capital, Chernivtsi.
Storozhynets is located in the historic region of Bucovina, which has been governed by Austria, Romania, the USSR and Ukraine.
Towards the end of the 19th_century and the beginning of the 20th_century, the city was settled mostly by Jews.
