MSU Interview
Dear SatyrTN,
My name is Jonathan Obar user:Jaobar, I'm a professor in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences at Michigan State University and a Teaching Fellow with the Wikimedia Foundation's Education Program. This semester I've been running a little experiment at MSU, a class where we teach students about becoming Wikipedia administrators. Not a lot is known about your community, and our students (who are fascinated by wiki-culture by the way!) want to learn how you do what you do, and why you do it. A while back I proposed this idea (the class) to the community HERE, where it was met mainly with positive feedback. Anyhow, I'd like my students to speak with a few administrators to get a sense of admin experiences, training, motivations, likes, dislikes, etc. We were wondering if you'd be interested in speaking with one of our students.
So a few things about the interviews:
- Interviews will last between 15 and 30 minutes.
- Interviews can be conducted over skype (preferred), IRC or email. (You choose the form of communication based upon your comfort level, time, etc.)
- All interviews will be completely anonymous, meaning that you (real name and/or pseudonym) will never be identified in any of our materials, unless you give the interviewer permission to do so.
- All interviews will be completely voluntary. You are under no obligation to say yes to an interview, and can say no and stop or leave the interview at any time.
- The entire interview process is being overseen by MSU's institutional review board (ethics review). This means that all questions have been approved by the university and all students have been trained how to conduct interviews ethically and properly.
Bottom line is that we really need your help, and would really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you. If interested, please send me an email at obar@msu.edu (to maintain anonymity) and I will add your name to my offline contact list. If you feel comfortable doing so, you can post your name HERE instead.
If you have questions or concerns at any time, feel free to email me at obar@msu.edu. I will be more than happy to speak with you.
Thanks in advance for your help. We have a lot to learn from you.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Obar --Jaobar (talk) 07:26, 12 February 2012 (UTC)

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky
I am currently copy editing and amending Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky to improve the article's overall quality and ensure it remains an FA. If you have time, I would greatly appreciate your looking over the article and giving feedback. My aim, other than the stylistic goal of improving the writing quality, is to add information and sources to keep coverage of Tchaikovsky's life and music as well-rounded as possible. I want to remain as sensitive to LGBT readers and issues important to them, especially in how facts and phrasings about Tchaikovsky's life might be taken, and have very little experience in this matter. Therefore, I hope you will please help. Thanks. Jonyungk (talk) 21:55, 17 February 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks very much for the reply and the offer to pitch in. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens and will gladly help out wherever I can. Jonyungk (talk) 03:25, 18 February 2012 (UTC)
- I've spent the day putting source material into the Sexuality section, restructuring and shaping it accorgingly. Hope this helps make your job a little easier. Jonyungk (talk) 04:12, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
- Please see the discussion on Talk:Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky at your earliest opportunity over material removed from Sexuality. Your comments there would be welcome. Thanks. Jonyungk (talk) 15:07, 21 February 2012 (UTC)

LGBT directors
In The Advocate source in the article Greta Schiller, her relationship is discussed on page 64. I wasn't sure how to incorporate it into the article. SL93 (talk) 17:57, 18 February 2012 (UTC)
- Per WP:BLP, putting her in the Category:LGBT directors needed a) to be stated in the article, and b) have a reliable source that backed up the statement. I looked at The Advocate article before I removed the category and didn't see her stating she was lesbian, but I obviously didn't read close enough - I see where she says that. I've added the information, ref, and put a WikiProject banner on the article. Thanks for your work! -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 18:20, 18 February 2012 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification
Hi. When you recently edited Paul Babeu, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page ABC (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

G12 tagging
You tagged Yamada Senta as a G12, but didn't indicate the source url.--SPhilbrick(Talk) 17:13, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
- My bad. It's the only url on the page, and is indicated in the very next alert box. But I added it to the G12 tag. -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 17:24, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry, I probably should have figured that out myself, but I had several to review, and was reacting somewhat mechanically. Looks like someone else figured it out.--SPhilbrick(Talk) 16:52, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
- Ain't no trouble :) -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 23:52, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

Good catch on the CCC camps, I'm awarding myself a small trout :)
