Hispanic TV is a Latin American cable television channel that broadcasts Hispanic music videos. It is owned by Turner Broadcasting System Latin America and is available in the United States, Latin America and Europe. It is a 24-hour all-Spanish-language television music channel providing a mix of old and new hit music videos. Its format includes Balada, salsa, merengue and other popular Latin rhythms, introduced by the artists themselves in place of vee jays. HTV is broadcast from all Spanish speaking countries.
It was launched in 1996. In 2006, Time Warner's TBS Networks Latin America acquired HTV, along with Fashion TV, Infinito[disambiguation needed ], I.Sat, MuchMusic, Retro, and Space from Claxson.
In 2010, Dish Network stopped carrying HTV.
