Orphaned fair use image (Image:Tim mahoney 150.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Tim mahoney 150.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Elevator Surfing
Thanks for your contributions to the vladding article. Could you provide a Reliable source for the additions? McKay 18:40, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- Sadly, according to WP:VERIFY, the content will have to be removed. Wikipedia is more concerned with verifiability than it is with truth. The content has been reverted. If you really think such information should be made available in wikipedia, you're going to have to get infromation published elsewhere. Maybe you could get an article written in the college paper. (College papers are starved for content.) From there, maybe a local community newspaper or magazine? McKay 15:04, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Your re-direct of Coco Pops
You re-directed the page to Cocoa Krispies but guess what, that page re-directs to Coco Pops. You better fix this up. Just to let you know back in August 2006 Cocoa Krispies was re-directed to Coco Pops per consus on talk page. Have a look at the history here Thanks Roadrunnerz45 (talk 2 me) 06:16, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- Agreed. Please leave the article at Coco Pops; please do not copy-and-paste the content to other titles, as you did to Cocoa krispies. —C.Fred (talk) 06:36, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Re. King Vitaman
It's called vandal patrol. The title of the article was "King Vitamin", so for vandal patrollers monitoring hundreds of articles being modified every minute, it may look like vandalism when an anonymous user edits an article named "King Vitamin" to change all mentions of the subject to "King Vitaman". The title of the article is supposed to determine how the subject is mentioned throughout the article, therefore changing the body of the article without changing the title may look like plain vandalism, thereby prompting its reversion in a matter of seconds. WP:Hornbook -- a new WP:Law task force for the J.D. curriculum
Hi Jhw57,
I'm asking Wikipedians who are interested in United States legal articles to take a look at WP:Hornbook, the new "JD curriculum task force".
Our mission is to assimilate into Wikipedia all the insights of an American law school education, by reducing hornbooks to footnotes.
- Each casebook will have a subpage.
-
-
- Over the course of a semester, each subpage will shift its focus to track the unfolding curriculum(s) for classes using that casebook around the country.
- It will also feature an extensive, hyperlinked "index" or "outline" to that casebook, pointing to pages, headers, or {{anchors}} in Wikipedia (example).
- Individual law schools can freely adapt our casebook outlines to the idiosyncratic curriculum devised by each individual professor.
-
- I'm encouraging law students around the country to create local chapters of the club I'm starting at my own law school, "Student WP:Hornbook Editors". Using WP:Hornbook as our headquarters, we're hoping to create a study group so inclusive that nobody will dare not join.
What you can do now:
- 1. Add WP:Hornbook to your watchlist, {{User Hornbook}} to your userpage, and ~~~~ to Wikipedia:Hornbook/participants.
- 2. If you're a law student,
-
- Email http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:Hornbook to your classmates, and tell them to do the same.
- Contact me directly via talk page or email about coordinating a chapter of "Student WP:Hornbook Editors" at your own school.
- (You don't have to start the club, or even be involved in it; just help direct me to someone who might.)
-
- 3. Introduce yourself to me. Law editors on Wikipedia are a scarce commodity. Do knock on my talk page if there's an article you'd like help on.
Regards, Andrew Gradman talk/WP:Hornbook 20:44, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

Alice in Chains album chain
I noticed you reverted the edits I made to the New Order album chain and the reason you gave. Would you agree then that Sap and Jar of Flies belong in the Alice in Chains studio album chain? Jar of Flies is pretty significant seeing as how it was the first EP to debut at Number one on Billboard 200. Shaneymike (talk) 18:01, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
- Jar of Flies is also significant in that it was the frst release with Mike Inez on bass. Shaneymike (talk) 14:02, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
-
- Sap and Jar of Flies may not signal a change in Alice in Chains' musical direction but they did signal an expansion of it, which is why I think they should be kept in the chain. Shaneymike (talk) 17:22, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:Hollywood Sporto.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Hollywood Sporto.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. • ɔ ʃ → 14:06, 28 April 2010 (UTC)

Re:Homestead
Whatever I did in the Homestead article was unintentional. Thank you for trying to fix it. I think what happened is that I was researching older versions of the article trying to find when the population density was screwed up, and inadvertently edited an old version of the article. Your edit, however, did not restore the article to its state just before my edit. I have now restored that state. The population density still needs to be fixed, but I'll leave it alone for now. -- Donald Albury 20:57, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

The Hills Beyond
Hola, soy español y no hablo inglés. Saludos desde España, --Afilador (talk) 16:35, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
- Ya respondí en tu página de discusión. Jhw57 (talk) 19:30, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
--Afilador (talk) 12:12, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
Tallahassee (Amtrak station)
I was going to add photos, but you beat me to it. You were there the day after me. How weird! Nice photos. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 18:07, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you! I've taken enough photos that by now I hope I'm doing it right. :) That Hialeah station was a bear to find, too. I don't know my way around Miami like I used to. If you could photograph some of the stuff in Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Florida, that'd help. I'm trying to get all the National Register lists for the state fully illustrated. I missed a few in Dade County when I was down there last month. Some I don't think will be got due to difficulty (Half Moon (shipwreck), Boca Chita Key Historic District), but any you could get would be cool. This is my list I made to try and track NRHP stuff. Btw, Tallahassee? That's a loooong haul from South Florida. That's why I like living in Marion County, 'cause it's centrally located, doncha know. :) -- the long-winded Ebyabe (talk) 18:47, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- Boo! The ones that would be easiest are S & S Sandwich Shop (which I can't believe I missed, since I got the cemetery across the street) and some of the Bay Shore Historic District. The Nike Missile Site HM-69 is a stretch, 'cause it's in the Everglades and it's getting nasty hot. Half Moon I kick myself, 'cause I was going to simply take a picture of the water in the direction where it is. I've done it before. May have to do that for all the wrecks down in the Keys, when I get down there again.
- A shot of the surviving bit of the Sears, Roebuck and Company Department Store would be nice. Then there's the Root Building in Opa-Locka. I probably photographed it, but I can't confirm which building it is. Oh well...
- Yeah, I'm not worried about shopping malls much. I'm not sure who added those photo requests. My priorities are NRHPs, state parks, museums, bridges, and other interesting historical and nature stuff. You should talk to DanTD. He's the railroad guy for whom I've been trying to get rail depot photos. 'Night. ;) --Ebyabe (talk) 02:47, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
- I'm glad you added them too, since it saves me from sneaking off on a proposed bus trip to Tallahassee, although the images really need better names. Of course, now I may have to take a trip down to the Miami-West Palm Beach area, since there are a bunch of Tri-Rail station images I'm looking for. ----DanTD (talk) 18:54, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
The Hills Beyond

Hi. When you recently edited Islandia, Florida, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Native American (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

SAL in SW Florida
Thanks for further correcting and improving the article, Jhw. I could have been more specific about when the SAL Naples line was abandoned, but then I decided I didn't want to get into mentioning every little abandoment that was done, so I just made a general reference to all that. It looks fine the way you did it, good job. Having ridden the Seaboard many times in the last years of its glory days, I have done a lot of work on this article, and I appreciate your help in keeping it accurate and well-written. Interesting find re: newspaper advertisement that has him selling Datsuns. I'm curious as to why you actually removed [3] that information from the article itself, I think it is pertinent, and the average reader probably won't click on the reference to discover this little factoid for themselves. Do you see any problems with adding the sentence (and reference) back in? Thanks! 78.26 (spin me / revolutions) 13:03, 21 July 2014 (UTC)
