KISF signed on in May 1992 under the call letters KEDG adopting the modern rock music format branded as "The Edge". In 1996, KEDG gained a direct competitor as KFBI adopted a harder edged modern rock music format under the call lettersKXTE. In June 1998, KEDG dropped the modern rock music format in favor of urban oldies under the call letters KISF - branded as "Kiss-FM". In 1999 Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation (which eventually became Univision Radio) acquired the frequency transforming 103.5 into the first Spanish FM radio station serving the Las Vegas Hispanic community.
