Hello and welcome to my userpage!
Hi, I'm Roy. My birthname is Rehman, which is also the name I use on the internet and on content for attribution. I was born in Manama and have lived there for about a decade, before moving to my current location in Colombo, Sri Lanka. My interests include researching, photographing, writing about, and developing renewable energy (particularly solar and wind power), and limnology (particularly dams and rivers). Things I enjoy include travelling, hiking, community work (cleanups, building/renovating schools, etc), building computers, star gazing, and most related things. I am agnostic, and consider myself introverted. I am single probably due to the fact that I'm owned by two senior female calicos. Since 2012, I have been employed at HSBC, where I lead a small team serving personal and corporate clients for the Singapore market. Although not directly in line with my interests, I like my workplace due to the types of challenges we regularly face, and also because of the diverse range of nice and friendly people I work with. On the other hand, I am also trying hard to get into the renewable energy industry, as an individual developer or by working with an existing team. My vision is to directly be involved in renewable energy development someday. Simultaneously to the above, I currently follow CIMA, with plans to start studies in renewable energy. As you may have already guessed, my work here on Wikipedia (and Commons) mainly relates to renewable energy and limnology. Outside the encyclopedic sphere, I work on maintenance related tasks (including deletions at WP:FFD, WP:TFD, WP:RFD), and on creating or fixing infoboxes and navigation templates, among other things. I have administrative access on Commons, so feel free to ask me if you need any admin assistance there. Wherever I can, I also help on improving policy and guideline pages on both projects, as I strongly believe that these pages needs to be very simple, clear, and up to date, particularly on rapidly growing sites like Commons and Wikipedia. I am currently involved in setting-up the official Wikimedia Sri Lanka usergroup; let me know if you're interested in lending a hand!
Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Today's Featured ArticleKingdom Hearts II is an action role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix in 2005 for the PlayStation 2 video game console. The game is a sequel to the 2002 Disney Interactive and Square collaboration, Kingdom Hearts, and to Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. In this game, the protagonist Sora returns to search for his lost friends, while Organization XIII from Chain of Memories reappears to impede his progress. All three games feature a large cast of characters from Disney films and Final Fantasy games. The game was well-received, earning year-end awards from numerous video gaming websites. In Japan, it shipped more than one million copies within a week of its release. One month after its North American release, it had sold over one million copies. By March 31, 2007, the game had shipped over 4 million copies worldwide. A novel and manga series are based on it, as well as an international version called Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, re-released in high definition as Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix for the PlayStation 3. The game was actor Pat Morita's final voice role before his death in 2005. (Full article...)
