Maintaining objectivity and neutral point-of-view in island-related articles
Assess : Locate and tag all relevant article talk pages with the project's banner: {{WikiProject Islands|class=|importance=}}. Remember to properly assess all relevant articles, using the project's quality-scale. Assess the backlog of unassessed articles in Category:Unassessed Islands articles.
Please feel free to list your new Islands-related articles here (newer articles at the top, please). Any new articles that have an interesting or unusual fact in them, are at least over 1,000 characters, don't have any dispute templates on them, and cite their sources, should be suggested for the Did you know? box on the Wikipedia Main Page.
I've spend a great deal of time turning Smooth_Island_(Tasmania) from a 2 sentence 'stub' into quite a comprehensive article, pulling together all the information and evidence I can from around the web. Could you please assess the article for revised quality grading and suggest improvements as appropriate?Jkokavec (talk) 12:24, 9 December 2014 (UTC)

I recently created: Populated islands of the Great Lakes. The article lists islands with a population of more than about 100. And I deided to include islands of the great lakes region, and not just ones that are strictly located in one of the Great Lakes. I provided brief descriptions for each island, along with references, and a link to each island's main article. Please let me know if I missed any populated islands on the list. Grading scheme
Article progress grading scheme
For a more detailed description of the different grades, see {{Grading scheme}}.
The article is a merge candidate, as it probably should not stand on its own. Remarks should clarify suggested merge target. If multiple articles are to be merged into one, or if the issue is complicated, it is advised to list it at the end of this article.
The article is "almost there" but it may be missing one of the following: references, balance of content, NPOV or an important section. Alternatively, the English may need a comprehensive rewrite to make it flow.
The article provides a well-written and complete description of the topic, as described in How to write a Great Article. It includes a well-written introduction to the topic, and an appropriate series of headings to break up the article. It should have sufficient external literature references, preferably from the "hard" literature rather than websites. It should be well illustrated, with no copyright problems.
Reserved exclusively for articles that have received "Good Article" status, and meet the current criteria for Good Articles. Article should be at or around A-class to receive this tag.
