- Oceanh, it has been over two weeks since you said you'd work on this nomination, and while you've been actively editing, it hasn't been on this article. Action is needed soon, otherwise the nomination may end up being closed. I hope you'll be able to give this attention in the next couple of days. BlueMoonset (talk) 01:36, 14 February 2014 (UTC)

- Thank you EagerToddler39 for a thorough review. To fix all issues is a non-trivial task. This should preferably be done by someone with both in-depth knowledge of the English language, and access to the cited sources (and minimum one of these). To BlueMoonset: The other edits I have done lately are, from my perspective, relatively straightforward tasks. Oceanh (talk) 13:24, 15 February 2014 (UTC)

Oslo byleksikon
Hi! Do you have Oslo byleksikon at ready hand? Could you check out a detail about Anton Tschudi's ownership of Økern? When did he buy and sell? Thanks in advance, Geschichte (talk) 16:05, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
- Hi! My edition of Oslo byleksikon from 1966 does not have much about Tschudi's role at Økern. The entry on Økern has a section with focus on ownership of the farm until mid 1800s, the building of apartments in the area after World War II (Økernbråten etc), and further plans for business areas which were then not yet finished. The entry on Anton Tschudis vei briefly mentions Tschudi's role in parcelling out the farm, but no date information is given there. The encyclopedia Store Norske Leksikon mentions that smaller houses in the northern part of Økern date from 1910-15 onwards. It might be worth to check whether later editions of Oslo byleksikon contain more details. Oceanh (talk) 08:52, 9 May 2014 (UTC)

Krefting infobox?[edit]

- Thanks. Interesting type. I'm at doubt myself, with the Olympic participation and championships, a sports infobox wouldn't be out of place. Then again, nor would a military infobox, with the wartime service and all. And, he was a businessman. Think I'll have to think about it for a little while. How about we take it to DYK too? Oceanh, you nominated this GA, and the editor of it posted about some issues with your proposed hook and made some suggestions. As nominator, it's up to you to take these further: formalize new version(s?) of the hook and so on. Please visit this soon; there's no point in my calling for a reviewer given the nomination's current state, and it has been sitting for over three and a half weeks. Many thanks. - Thank you for the notification, and for your continuous efforts on keeping old nominations alive. I have written out Ojorojo's suggested hook as alt1, and supplied an additional alt2. In general, I do not assume ownership of my nominations, and only interfere when I notice there are issues to be followed up. Oceanh (talk) 18:23, 29 August 2014 (UTC)

Eurasian eagle-owl[edit]
Just pointing out that the chunk of plagiarised text you removed from Eurasian eagle-owl was not added by me but was present before I started working on the article. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 04:59, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
- Hi, yes, I know, I tracked down that the text stems from edits made 3 1/2 years ago. There is of course also the possibility that the other website has copied text from Wikipedia. I considered asking for your advice on how to handle this, but decided to just remove the problematic text (according to the duplication tool, there also seems to be some problematic text left, in other sections, which I have not taken care of yet). I found it hard to rephrase this particular text, because it contains a large number of technical terms. But some of the removed information should probably be reinstated in a different form, in order to make the description more complete. What do you think? Oceanh (talk) 07:43, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
- I plan to rewrite and reinstate the information. What duplication tool do you use and where did this text come from? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 08:52, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
- Good. As pointed out by User:Nikkimaria in the DYK template, the article contained text identical to content from this source, Eurasian Eagle Owl - Bubo bubo. The Duplication Detector showed originally, and currently. Oceanh (talk) 10:34, 30 September 2014 (UTC)

The article 1157 in Norway has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Article has 1 line of content and three empty sections with insufficient context. Tagged as needing expanded since July 2012.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Blethering Scot 19:11, 17 July 2015 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Baltazar Mathias Keilhau, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bjørnøya (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Reviews and nominations
Thank you for reviewing a large number of my recent DYK nominations. With the end of the WikiCup, the number of new nominations I make will now decline and thankfully I won't feel constrained to expand articles about European departments and towns! Thank you also for the nomination of a number of GAs, mostly on birds and insects. Some of these I might have got around to nominating myself but others I would not. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:18, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Cwmhiraeth, Congratulations with the WikiCup! I can not handle too many ongoing DYK-reviews with unresolved issues, so it is a pleasure to review your nominations, in particular those on biological subjects. Also, I nominated a pile of new GAs for DYK the last month, and the number of GAs from you recently is impressing! Oceanh (talk) 18:02, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open!
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. WikiProject assessment tags for talk pages
Thank you for your recent articles, including Weronika Gawlik, which I read with interest. When you create a new article, can you add the WikiProject assessment templates to the talk of that article? See the talk page of the article I mentioned for an example of what I mean. Usually it is very simple, you just add something like {{WikiProject Keyword}} to the article's talk, with keyword replaced by the associated WikiProject (ex. if it's a biography article, you would use WikiProject Biography; if it's a United States article, you would use WikiProject United States, and so on). You do not have to rate the article if you do not want to, others will do it eventually. Those templates are very useful, as they bring the articles to a WikiProject attention, and allow them to start tracking the articles through Wikipedia:Article alerts and other tools. For example, WikiProject Poland relies on such templates to generate listings such as Article Alerts, Popular Pages, Quality and Importance Matrix and the Cleanup Listing. Thanks to them, WikiProject members are more easily able to defend your work from deletion, or simply help try to improve it further. Feel free to ask me any questions if you'd like more information about using those talk page templates. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 07:29, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
