I am a Wikipedia editor who enjoys contributing to articles about technical subjects – electronics, computer science, construction, and related fields. I began editing under this username in October 2009, when I added some information to the article NEMA connector. You can leave a message for me at User talk:PleaseStand.
I often correct spelling, grammar, usage, and style issues in existing articles and sometimes create or expand new articles. Some have appeared on the main page. Did you know...
I have created several JavaScript add-ons that simplify or enhance common Wikipedia editing tasks, and I sometimes answer questions at the help desk or technical village pump.
Temporarily moves footnotes to a separate text box on the edit screen, adding them back in when the page is saved. (For use with the source editor, not VisualEditor.)
I hear you found and reported a mediawiki bug! Good on you!172.218.56.70 (talk) 19:46, 3 September 2013 (UTC)

What a Brilliant Idea Barnstar
With many thanks for the brilliant references segregator, which means I no longer spend my wikilife screaming and shaking my fist at citation templates. Now, instead, I just blissfully switch them off! :) SlimVirgintalk|contribs 14:49, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
The Random Acts of Kindness Barnstar
The Random Acts of Kindness Barnstar may be awarded to those that show a pattern of going the extra mile to be nice, without being asked.
This Barnstar is awarded to PleaseStand. Thank you for taking the time to answer my CSS question, that was incredibly kind. I have seen you around, and you are always so helpful to other editors. Editors like yourself, who selflessly help others is the foundation of this project. Adamtheclown (talk) 00:28, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
The Wiki Puzzle Piece Award
You've been rewarded one of the indispensable puzzle pieces of the Wikipedia puzzle!
You and everything you have done make up one piece of the Wikipedia puzzle.
Each piece is important to the puzzle and without each, Wikipedia would not be complete.
Awarded to PleaseStand for his technical brilliance
You really are one of the finest coders I've ever come across on wikipedia. Thankyou!! Dr. BlofeldWhite cat 13:26, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
Wikipedia policy allows using publicly linked alternative accounts for specific purposes. Below is a list of all accounts I have created for use, or used, on this wiki, verifiable using the user creation log (1, 2).
For running approved bots and bots exempt from approval; not used for manual edits. (Formerly named User:PSBot, not to be confused with User:PsBot.)
I might have also, while logged out, created some doppelgänger accounts in June or July 2006. These were intended to prevent, prior to the introduction of AntiSpoof, the use of confusable characters for impersonation. I created these while logged out and do not recall any specific usernames (which might have been variations on those of other users for all I know). I likely set the passwords to random strings to prevent further access.
