- Why do you want to be a Wikipedia Ambassador?
- I want to work with educators and student editors from Nigeria in the Wikipedia Education Program to improve Wikipedia and its sister's projects.
- In three sentences or less, summarize your involvement with Wikimedia projects.
- I've been an active editor for over 1 year and I've created over 500 articles with 5 DYK to my credit. In addition to that, I'm an Outreach Coordinator of The Wikipedia Library. I've also been involved in an Education Outreach Program and currently, I'm the Secretary of the Wikimedia User Group Nigeria (WUGN).
- Please indicate a few articles to which you have made significant content contributions. (e.g. DYK, GA, FA, major revisions/expansions/copyedits).
- Below are articles I created, expanded and promoted to DYK:
- Femi Robinson - featured on 18 June 2015
- Fredrick Obateru Akinruntan - featured on 29 June 2015
- Yoruba tribal marks - featured on 6 July 2015
- Igogo festival - featured on 28 July 2015
- Ilorin Sallah stampede - featured on 31 July 2015
- Iwoye-Ketu - featured on 13 August 2015
I intend to promote Nitrogen dioxide poisoning among others to GA status.
- How have you been involved with welcoming and helping new users on Wikipedia?
- supportive, constructive, civil, and respectful. Although, I'm sometimes blunt with spammers per my essay entitled WP:MOSQUITOES.
- What do you see as the most important ways we could welcome newcomers or help new users become active contributors?
- Mentoring, supportive, constructive, civil, and respectful.
- Have you had major conflicts with other editors? Blocks or bans? Involvement in arbitration? Feel free to offer context, if necessary.
- I have Zero blocked history and I've not been involved in major conflicts with other editors.
- How often do you edit Wikipedia and check in on ongoing discussions? Will you be available regularly for at least two hours per week, in your role as a mentor?
- I often spend at least 3 hours editing Wikipedia per day
- How would you make sure your students were not violating copyright laws?
- Having understood the legal consequence of Copyright infringement, I will guild them to respect our policy on copyvio. I will introduce them to various tools such as this one. In addition to that, I will often check their contributions on a daily basis.
- If one of your students had an issue with copyright violation how would you resolve it?
- If the added content has not raise a legal issue, I will remove the content immediately on spotted and if its a serious one, I will relay it to our legal team after a dialogue with the concern party (I mean the copyright owner of the work).
- In your _own_ words describe what copyright violation is.
- Copyright violation in my own language is the illegal "Reuse or re-distributions of a non-free content or material"
- What else should we know about you that is relevant to being a Wikipedia Ambassador?
- I've disclosed my identity to the WMF as Secretary. Of the WUGN and coordinator of The Wikipedia Library but if you required additional information about me, feel free to let me know.

- Why do you want to be a Wikipedia Ambassador?
- I would like to be a Wikipedia Ambassador to help educators and students achieve their goals and ensure that they are following Wikipedia's standard guidelines.
- In three sentences or less, summarize your involvement with Wikimedia projects.
- I have been around at Wikipedia for 6 months and mainly focus on content creation, vandalism-fighting, and other minor work. I have edited a few times on WikiVoyage and Wiktionary and understand some of their policies.
- Please indicate a few articles to which you have made significant content contributions. (e.g. DYK, GA, FA, major revisions/expansions/copyedits).
- A few articles I have contributed to have been two DYKs, ACE Air Cargo Flight 51 and Carson Air Flight 66, and 1 DYK nominee, Conair Aviation Flight 448.
- How have you been involved with welcoming and helping new users on Wikipedia?
- I have been heavily involved with welcoming and helping new users. I mainly focus my attention on the #wikipedia-en-help chat on IRC and occasionally welcome editors with one of my custom-made Welcome templates.
- What do you see as the most important ways we could welcome newcomers or help new users become active contributors?
- Some important ways we could welcome newcomers is to be polite and non-technical. Editors are often scared of Wikipedia every time a warning notice or even a caution notice appears on their talk page, and many leave Wikipedia due to complicated policies and standards.
- Have you had major conflicts with other editors? Blocks or bans? Involvement in arbitration? Feel free to offer context, if necessary.
- At the time of submitting this application, I have not had any major conflicts, blocks or bans, and involvement in arbitration.
- How often do you edit Wikipedia and check in on ongoing discussions? Will you be available regularly for at least two hours per week, in your role as a mentor?
- I am on Wikipedia for about 3-5 hours daily. Yes, I will available for at least two hours per week.
- How would you make sure your students were not violating copyright laws?
- To make sure my students were not violating copyright laws, I will first ask my students if they have copy and pasted any text or submitted any pictures. I will then check the copy and pasted text and see if they have paraphrased it or not. For pictures, I would make sure the picture was their own work or used in fair use. This will go for all other copyright areas.
- If one of your students had an issue with copyright violation how would you resolve it?
- If one of my students had an issue with copyright violation, I would resolve it by giving he or she a lesson and tips about copyright. I will also guide them on how to avoid future copyright violations.
- In your _own_ words describe what copyright violation is.
- A copyright violation is an occurrence, in which a person is using intellectual property and other material that isn't approved to be made for free use or the standard free use guidelines.
