I undid your protection of Natalia Toreeva because under this title the proper article has only been deleted once - as you can see that which I deleted on 2016-03-10 22:26:06 was not an article but a misplaced talk page comment. Also I would like to see her have an AfD discussion. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:43, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
Please allow us to explain why we believe our changes to the article should be accepted by Wikipedia. We are based in the Glasgow Centre for Population Health (GCPH) (www.gcph.co.uk). GCPH is a Scottish Government funded research institute, and we have led most of the research into this particular topic (the so-called ‘Glasgow Effect’). Much of this research has been undertaken by David Walsh, who is quoted at length on your existing page (see Note 1, as well as Reference 3), and within some of the media links that are also cited (e.g. Reference 4: http://www.theguardian.com/society/2012/nov/06/mystery-glasgow-health-problems). Alongside partner organisations, we have published a considerable amount of research on the topic, including over 20 peer-reviewed journal articles – see full list of references below. The most recent report – published just this month – has identified the most likely causes of the so-called ‘effect’. The findings of that report have been endorsed by a wide range of experts, including some of those cited on the existing Wiki web page (e.g. the former Chief Medical Officer, Sir Harry Burns, and Professor Phil Hanlon). For a full list see pages 4 and 5 of the report: http://www.gcph.co.uk/assets/0000/5574/History_politics_and_vulnerability.pdf). The findings of this new report has been discussed – and welcomed – this month in the mainstream Scottish and UK media e.g.: http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/14493634.Revealed___Glasgow_effect__mortality_rate_blamed_on_Westminster_social_engineering/ http://stv.tv/news/politics/1354974-labour-abandoned-glasgows-poor-nicola-sturgeon-must-not-do-the-same/ http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/may/28/one-step-closer-to-squads-of-child-snatchers As it stands – i.e. without our edited update – the Wiki page is now inaccurate and out of date. I think that the update we have proposed would be enormously helpful to those interested in the topic. Without it, the Wiki page is misleading. We would be very happy to discuss this in person with you: please feel free to get in touch with us: info@gcph.co.uk or on here. Many thanks for your help and time Sheena on behalf of the GCPH

So, the page has been edited again, but this time from an IP address. Note that the edit is exactly the same as before. Can we somehow learn the IP of the previous vandalizing editor BluesBrothers10? And that page is way too frequently vandalized... Jason1998 (talk) 14:29, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
Hi? Jason1998 (talk) 18:40, 31 May 2016 (UTC)
- The information added appears to be completely trivial. Especially since Jason Milionis does not have a Wikipedia article, and is thus completely non-notable. Just because info has a source doesn't make it worthwhile to have in an article. Also, could there be a conflict of interest? Jason Milionis/Jason1998? Materialscientist, what do you think? It's not worth edit warring over, so whatever you think best. Cheers. --‖ Ebyabe talk - Border Town ‖ 19:31, 31 May 2016 (UTC)

- It is an important historical detail, since it was the first competition that took place since 1990 and that triggered a change in how entrance exams are considered as a filter for "model", as they are called, schools. Before that, the selection system was completely different and therefore, the transition (i.e. the first year of entrance exams) is worth a minor note (remember that it was placed in brackets). In addition, the whole document is visible that shows all candidates of the first year entrance exams. Finally, it is utterly true that I am Jason Milionis - I don't hide that at all. However, "COI is not simply bias" and hereby I only added information because of the **first** entrance exams, information that genuinely is of some historical importance. About the two Chinese-born Kazakh female weightlifters
They were both born and trained in China in their youths, until they were sent to Kazakhstan in 2007. There are a lot of reports and solid evidence about these in Chinese media, and these things are never "poorly referenced". An exchange agreement reached between Weightlifting Admin Center of Hunan Administration of Sport and Kazakhstan Weightlifting Association was exposed after Chinshanlo won a silver medal in 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. The agreement effected from Sept 20, 2007 to Sept 15, 2012 and specified "transfer fees" for Chinshanlo and Maneza (then Zhao Changling and Yao Li): $25,000 for each athlete girl, and additional fees in case any of them earned a podium position in 2012 London Olympic Games ($30,000 for each bronze medal, $40,000 for a silver, and $50,000 for a highest step).
There are two controversial points by today. The two girls somehow felt "abandoned" by their Chinese coaches and leaders when sent abroad, that is why Maneza once denied her birth in China and insist speaking Russian for interviews. Chinshanlo, however, who does not speak Russian or Kazakh as fluently as Maneza, spoke Mandarin more often in public. The other thing is, China wanted them back after the contract expired, but Kazakhstan refused to let them go. Moreover, since they had been naturalized Kazakh citizens and Chinese gov never allows dual nationality, and according to some international sports organizations, an athlete could only change his/her nationality once, "back to China" thing became really complicated, almost impossible. They competed for Kazakhstan in 2014 World Weightlifting Championships, which indicates they will be Kazakh weightlifters for the rest of their careers.
Here are links for this issue: http://www.echinacities.com/news/Who-is-Maiya-Maneza-China-Born-Athlete-Wins-GoldFor-Kazakhstan http://en.people.cn/90779/7992691.html
And if you read Chinese I can share you a lot more. Hope you can understand.
- Surely China and Kazakhstan have different views on this story. We must stay neutral and follow reliable sources, preferably by international bodies, not local news. Materialscientist (talk) 09:41, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

Citation requirement
According to Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources which you cited to me, citation is required for material "challenged or likely to be challenged".
Recently you simply deleted my sentence mentioning a co-host on The Amazing Race 20, because I did not "provide a reliable source".
The information can be easily verified with a simple online search, and the information was already in the co-host's Wikipedia pages (with citation on the Italiano page, but not cited on the English page). The information has not been challenged, and unlikely to be challenged. The information is certainly not a view nor contentious.
While I do appreciate that you at least wrote on my Talk page, I do hope you have not unnecessarily deleted other people's work. Thank you.

Hello
Hi, I'm so sorry to bother you, but something really weird just happened. I got a thing coming up on a random Selena Gomez album page I went on, it said I had a message from you saying you took out an edit I made on some random high school page. I'm so confused though, because I have never edited that page? Or been on it? Or even heard of the school? I don't edit on here, only a couple times a long time ago. disintegrator link
Nowhere on wikipedia does it say what an ultrasonic disintegrator is, there is no page with a picture an no explanation. I added a link to show one and explain what it does. Why is that inappropriate for wikipedia? If someone has the time they can add this. I see that already the compabny that makes them is listed with its own page, although no details of their products are included. Surely that is advertisement if no scientific context is put? And also no other companies are listed? Perhaps you can create an article on this as I have no time for that, only to indicate where the info is WHICH is what I did.

Taurus vandalism
Hello, I just noticed that the Taurus page cannot be edited right now. I know there was probably some kind of warring going on, and I'd like to politely ask you if you could add April 19 to May 20 for the Tropical Zodiac, and the current one for the Sidereal since there are two different astrology systems. It is a bit misleading right now.

71.7.131.83
It appears to me that the editor behind IP address 71.7.131.83, by repeatedly blanking his talk page (even though it is his right per WP:TALK) after several warnings (including a final warning from me on his behavior), is showing that he has no intention of taking any responsibility for the content removal without explanation[1][2] and factual error edits[3][4] he has been putting on pages as of late. I'm thinking that a short block for him should be done to set him straight about his editing behavior. Creativity-II (talk) 01:57, 7 June 2016 (UTC)

Beethoven's 3rd Symphony
First of all, thanks for making Wikipedia a better place with your time and effort.
You removed my edit because I did not provide citations but I wonder what citation you want me to provide other than the score itself - it is blatantly obvious that the theme is the same, it is even mentioned in the Bastien und Bastienne page here in Wikipedia too, you can hear both pieces on numerous recordings available and there could never be a shadow of a doubt that it is the exact same theme.
If I wanted to provide a citation, which should it be?

Dear Materialscientist,
I live in London, and have had the honour of completing Uni on this free land of opportunities therefore my views have not been poisoned by despots who try anything to distort the truth. Claiming that Albanians appeared in Epirus in 1800 was ludicrous as much as saying Skanderbeg was Greek or Fustanella being a Greek dress haha. I invite you to read o few reliable books and not be infected by Greek fear and inadequacy towards Albanians. I have never understood your fear or threat, but to be honest it makes me even more happier that you give us such importance to do anything to diminish our story. Ancient Greeks have no relation to any new Greeks and you know it, as much as you know that Greek Republic was created by Greeks and Albanians(Arvaniti). We are only 5 million in the whole world, but I can see, yourself and other Greeko-files are trying so hard to distort the truth. Our beautiful language is one of the oldest in the world(based not on thin air, I suggest you open a few books from reliable sources). You can try all you can, but Epirus is just that, a term that you and some more sad people would use to kill time(as apparently you need Albanians to excite your sad life). I believe in Karma. Hope your envy for Albanians ends there, as the fact that your soldiers use our Fustanella and your continuous online comments make us happy and more prosperous knowing that there are people out there who have nothing else but think of us. So TRULLY THANK YOU!

Hello Materialscientist, i am a german tennis expert and i have visited the French Open during the last week. I know exactly every court. The description is wrong. That is the Court Suzanne Lenglen, the second tallest one. Court Philippe Chatrier looks much different. You can look it up: They need to change also the name of the picture. Ronald Johnson revert - please don't bite the newbies
You recently reverted a change via STiki as vandalism on Ronald Johnson (poet), and left a {{Uw-vandalism1}} template on the editor's talk page. This was the first namespace edit by brand new user Fstopzero (talk | contributions).
Please don't bite the newcomers. This user is so new, they haven't even received the standard wiki-welcome yet. A non-formulaic follow-up to the vandalism template on their talk page to welcome this new user and explain a bit what triggered the revert would surely be welcome. (I'm guessing it was the word "sexcapade", which is however a legit quote from the source referenced in the {{cite web}} following that sentence; but I don't know that for sure.) Thanks. You've recently (7th June) removed the edits of 24.114.74.30, who has added a bunch of useful informations to the article Atomic theory. PFC CSKA 1948 Sofia
Hi, you recently deleted the page PFC CSKA 1948 Sofia and I didn't had chance to prove my point. As I mention in the talk of the page, there is 2 teams having the name CSKA - CSKA Sofia and CSKA 1948 and i'm going to give you refs that proves it. First - On 27 May 2016, Litex Lovech AD was bought out by Chavdar Etropole AD (newly re-registered as PFC CSKA 1948 AD).[1] On 2 June 2016, Litex Lovech AD was officialy re-registered as PFC CSKA Sofia EAD in the Registry Agency of Republic of Bulgaria thereby changing the clubs name and address to that of CSKA 1948.[2] So, in the new First League of Bulgaria PFC Litex Lovech got a license, whom got the name CSKA 1948 now. At last, CSKA 1948 is not going to be an official successor of CSKA Sofia, so its totaly wrong to list PFC CSKA Sofia in the new league, and list these players in the team. Another prove is, that 16 Litex player "joined" CSKA. They didn't joined, they were part of this team, sinse that is moved to Sofia Litex Lovech. [3] Also, PFC CSKA Sofia, could play in Second League or V Group as mention in the last ref. Chris Calvin (talk) 18:47, 14 June 2016 (UTC)

[International School Manila]
You undid my revert on the above article and marked my edit as " test/vandalism", so I thought I would explain myself here. The only motivation I have for posting here, is to explain myself, I have no desire to make this into anything resembling a complaint, as I'm sure we both had the best of intentions with our edits on that article...
I removed huge chunk of content, because it was either unsourced or based on a primary source (that primary source has since turn out to be a dead link)
I also removed a lot of the links on the article, because I thought there was a policy not to have a huge list of official links for an organization. (not that I can remember that policy)
So, I guess I might be (in the opinion of some) a little overzealous in removal of unsourced content, but I most certainly wasn't trying to make a test edit, or vandalize the article.
Either way, it's all good. Spacecowboy420 (talk) 06:23, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

Kinetic Degradation Fluxion Media
If you have a moment, could you have a look at Kinetic Degradation Fluxion Media please? It claims to be a patented water treatment process using "redox" methods and is made from copper and zinc. Zinc, Copper and redox I understand but I can make no connection with this simple chemistry and the claims made for it. If it removes heavy metals, then my guess would be that an alternative metal should be released in solution. Similarly if it removes chlorine, I would expect to see a metallic chloride in solution thus adding to the metal content of the water. The title reminds me of the film "Back to the future" and the whole thing smacks of pseudo science and quackery, but then my Chemistry degree was nearly 50 years ago, hence the reason for seeking a better qualified second opinion. Regards Velella Velella Talk 21:48, 16 June 2016 (UTC)

{{INRConvert}}
Hi M, I don't know if this would interest you or not, (my guess is "not"?) but there's a discussion at WT:ICTF about whether or not the {{INRConvert}} template should be used in infoboxes. I've been seeing an increase in random users adding date flags to these templates, presumably to perform inflation calculations, but that just clutters up the infobox and there's no provision for that at Template:Infobox film A user also pointed out that if a film was released in 2013, and we are using the INRConvert template, then we are converting 2013 rupees to the current year's US dollar, which makes the default template only useful for films released in the current year. It seems the choices are: perform the inflation calculations in the infobox or don't use the INRConvert template in the infobox. Anyhow, if you're interested in commenting, please do. I am considering an RfC because participation is so poor at the Indian cinema task force. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:44, 17 June 2016 (UTC)

I was not adding my personal analysis. I was just writing facts down and was also providing links. North Korea is a serious potential superpower if not the NEXT superpower on the horizon, if you like it or not. All facts are pointing into this direction. I provided sources like the Korean war. North Korea is the only superpower on the same level as the USA. North Korea is not the isolated country the West wants to see. North Korea is far more powerful and influencal than any other country besides the USA. You has violated wikipedia policy by deleting my comment to satisfy your brainwashed western view. Here's a standard answer you might consider giving:
When people object to your reverts, besides telling them that they failed to cite a source you can also suggest that they add their contribution on the article's Talk page. I myself have begun visiting the Talk pages just to get a feel for information which may be unreliable or disputed, yet could still be relevant and worthy of consideration, but in any event failed to make the cut for whatever reason for the text of the official article itself.
- We used to do that in the good old times, when wikiediting was much more collaborative. I don't have enough time and motivation to do that now, and often simply can't (when editing through Stiki). Materialscientist (talk) 02:27, 19 June 2016 (UTC)

The evidences are in these two YouTube videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QEDzFihzQ8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSmQ6V2_A5I Where can I send you the copy of the marriage certificate? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Official_registered_marriage_certifiate.jpg
- We can't accept such sources per WP:BLPPRIMARY, and can't verify that Steele = Palmer. Materialscientist (talk) 02:31, 19 June 2016 (UTC)
How can it be done? It's not nice that there is incorrect information on Wikipedia.

Twelve wild ducks
I am a newbie, but that does not mean my edits are vandalism. You removed my changes for the article "twelve wild ducks". I would like to know why, as the changes were sensible. A "troll duck" is certainly _not_ what the original story states, and I would like to know where is the source that that is even vaguely correct. Random O'Reilly (talk) 23:58, 19 June 2016 (UTC)

If you go to her Instagram and look at some of her posts going back to even April 1st 2016 when she first announced it you will see that she indeed did say that she was pregnant and is due Sept of this year 2016. She has also posted some pics where you can tell she is definitely pregnant. So not sure why you think I would just make this up. Here is the link for the first post she mentioned they were having a boy. https://www.instagram.com/p/BDqqg94tk8R/
Adam Gase
Hello. I have never really done this before. I understand it that I have been... informed? accused? (I don't want to be confrontational) that I have edited Adam Gase's wikipedia page without citing proper sources. Seeing as I have never heard of Adam Gase before I received the message of improper editing, I am unsure that it was me who did said editing. I have no idea what exactly is happening. I never even had an account before I decided to contact you about this. Has someone hijacked my external IP address? If so, how can I stop that from happening?

Hello
Hopefully you can tell what this message is in reference too since it's a reply to a message you sent me. Not sure why my personal website is always removed from my WIKI page - I'm guessing it's incorrectly presented (?) It's a link to my website which has other detailed information and contact details that is not info I'd like on the WIKI site. If you could give a link to a proper way to do this - or if it's some other issue please let me know - thank you
Template:PD-Nauru
Has there been discussion somewhere about this template? I was under the impression (see Wikipedia:Public domain#Countries without copyright treaties with the U.S.) that, on Wikipedia, we respected the copyright law of those countries without copyright relationships with the US. Josh Milburn (talk) 07:49, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
- In truth, I haven't seen Wikipedia:Public domain#Countries without copyright treaties with the U.S. before creating {{PD-Nauru}}, but simply followed {{PD-Maldives}}. Materialscientist (talk) 08:10, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
- I'm concerned about how much community support these templates will actually have. I feel that there should be a discussion somewhere; perhaps the village pump, with a few adverts elsewhere. What do you think? Josh Milburn (talk) 08:26, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
- Possibly. I have no strong or bright ideas right away, still mulling. There might be a difference in this matter between stabilizing countries (Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia) and stable ones (say, Nauru, Maldives, etc.)

Non-English palindromes
Good morning Materialscientist! You didn't make a mistake undoing my text, in fact this made me write clearer. The sources are there also. However, someone undid again! In Finnish Wikipedia I've had no problems. Those books mentioned include thousands of non-Finnish palindromes too. Could You please check the latest version, I'd be very grateful! I won't edit it anymore, but if You can do something... In case the English Wikipedia really is proud of that chapter (mentioning only "saippuakivikauppias" while more than 100 000 others can be written), I'm very disappointed in it's intellectual level. Revert of "vandalism" on Phil Pringle page
Hi
I was watching this page and saw your revert of this: [[11]]
It's not my edit, but there's a lot of refs to that, including:
- http://philpringle.com/about-phil-pringle
- http://www.citynews.sg/2014/03/interview-with-the-blonde-nana-how-mr-and-mrs-pringle-met/
Did you revert it because there was no cites? Your summary had vandalism, but I don't think that edit could be classified as vandalism (although the grammar was a little awry).
I'll watch here for your response. Thx peterl (talk) 22:19, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, the revert was because of lacking references (I don't recall why this edit summary). Feel free to restore it, provided you cite reliable sources. Materialscientist (talk) 22:23, 21 June 2016 (UTC)

MaterialScientist, I am asking for your opinion on this suggestion. I don't need you to publish your thoughts, just shoot me an online message. There are several other cases where I am suffering from the same challenge, and I'm hoping you might offer me some guidance. I took a couple months off after a previous go-round with this specific difficulty, and the cooling-down period doesn't seem to have made much difference. I'm wondering if you have any insights.
Thank you

- I'll give you my two cents. First, blister steel is not the same as crucible steel anymore than iron ore is the same as iron. The two have distinctly different properties and manufacturing methods. Even though one may be made from another, they are not really the same.
- That said, the article in question is dreadful. It focuses a lot on the where, when and who, but has very little in terms of what, how and why. (For one example, it lists two distinctly different methods used in Sri Lanka, gives dates and names of scientists, but doesn't describe either process nor the metals they produced.) That's not to mention the tons of grammatical problems nor what appears to be rather close paraphrasing of sources. (Maybe not, but the academic style of writing is a usually a give away.) In short, I don't think the article should be deleted or merged. However, much of the history could be trimmed by moving it into its relevant article, leaving enough for a good summary. The article needs expansion on both what crucible steel is (metallurgy, physical properties, and how it differs from other steels, etc.), how it is manufactured in all the various methods, and the purpose for going through all of the trouble. Reasons for reversion at electron
Hi, Materialscientist! Could you explain your reasons for your recent revert at electron?--5.2.200.163 (talk) 11:30, 24 June 2016 (UTC)
- Unreliable source (a self-published page written by whom?). Electron is an FA. Materialscientist (talk) 11:43, 24 June 2016 (UTC)
- The self-published page or website is that of a knowledgeable person on the subject, Gerald Gabrielse from Harvard University. He is not an anonymous uncitable nobody and deserves to be cited. The affiliation of the page is very traceable and clear, isn't it?--5.2.200.163 (talk) 12:15, 24 June 2016 (UTC)
- Sure, but I could not quickly verify that the page is written by him and not by a student from his group. Likely by him, so I've reverted myself. Materialscientist (talk) 12:37, 24 June 2016 (UTC)

This page is written in Russian, but it shows you that he scored a goal in the game against Ukrainians, but not Russians. Regarding the History of soccer in the United States
Hello, I saw your message. I've been going through and editing the women's section of History of soccer in the United States for several months, taking out the content that was previously there as it was very poorly written. I removed a small section for that reason, with the intention of rewriting and adding sections. I realized after I removed the sections that I did not explain myself. However, the things I removed were removed for a reason and I had also added some content in that edit, so I do believe you reverting my edit was a mistake. I'll be going back in the next few weeks to finish up that section. Thanks. Soccerfan1996 (talk) 15:01, 1 July 2016 (UTC)
House of Medici
Giovanni di Bicci de' Medici had two sons, as seen on this page: [1] If you follow the descendants of Lorenzo the Elder (Lorenzo il Veccio) , you will see that his line produces the Grand Dukes of Tuscany, beginning with Cosimo I (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosimo_I_de%27_Medici,_Grand_Duke_of_Tuscany) And you can see all this on this page: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/496381190156489110/
You will see that the cadet branch leads to Giovanni delle Bande Nere, and it is this man's son, Cosimo, who becomes Cosimo I Grand Duke of Tuscany (and ancestor to all the Grand Dukes subsequent to him). Marie de'Medici is a descendant of Cosimo I Grand Duke of Tuscany as seen here (as "Maria" de Medici): http://galileo.rice.edu/gal/medici.html
