It's disgusting to be looking up something, and then a horrible picture of THAT comes up. Why on earth would someone be so vulgar? Please change the picture of a woman's vagina back to the original photo, and thank you very much to whoever does. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.241.148.82 (talk • contribs) 17 February 2010
Uhmm...pretty big typo
In the first paragraph, it says "reaching double platinum, double platinum, and gold status respectively" Must double platinum be repeated twice?
Shouldn't it? How do I know whether the middle of the three albums is double platinum or gold?
Green Day on Hiatus?
greenday.com's news section contains a picture of a 'Rolling Stone' article which states that Green Day has been on hiatus since March (2014) - this needs to be added to the page (I can't do it as it's semi-protected). Here's the link if you want to cite it: http://www.greenday.com/news/rolling-stone-magazine-random-notes-november-20th-7137536
DEVO ??
Under related projects , specifically "The Network" , this article claims it's Green Day working with members of DEVO. Where does this come from? If you check the Wiki link to "The Network" , nowhere in that entry can the word "DEVO" even be found. ( Not to mention none of the members being mentioned. ). Might want to edit that , in some form. 75.107.98.64 (talk) 22:59, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
Legacy
Judging from the Blink 182 article, which has a legacy section, surely should this article also have a dedicated section to bands that have been influenced by Green Day. Blink for instance are amongst those bands and they have a pretty sizeable legacy section, so based on the records that Green Day have sold and indeed the pop punk genre overall, Green Day deserve at least a section of a similar size. Green Day a punk band?
Since they were record company made and signed to a major label, this would the antithesis of definition of punk bands (wiki even has that notion) which are self-made and usually political. They are an ALTERNATIVE/ POP ROCK BAND. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jenfrees (talk • contribs) 18:10, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
Being signed to a major label doesn't necessarily mean they aren't punk rock. Due to genres often being a subject of debate, we go by what reliable sources say about them, and they are most commonly cited as punk rock, pop punk and alternative rock, hence why those are the genres in the infobox.
