This version of Wikipedia is written in English (see Main Page#Wikipedia languages). With this being said, this page is a place to list foreign language articles on the English Wikipedia, to see if they can be translated before they are listed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. If someone speaks the language the article is written in and can state that it is not worth translating, the item should be moved to AfD or tagged with {{prod}}. Please keep in mind that drafts are considered out of scope for this page.
If an article has been listed here for two weeks and is still untranslated, it should be nominated for deletion.

Standard procedures
If you are here for the first time and have an article in a foreign language or a poorly translated article that you wish to list here to forestall possible deletion, you should start by finding the most appropriate template from among the ones listed at Wikipedia:Template messages/Translation and add it to the article page, save the page, and then follow the instructions in the banner on how to list the article here. You might need to click '[show]' to see all the instructions.
If you want to ask for a translation into English of an article from a foreign-language Wikipedia, go to Wikipedia:Translation.
Listing a page here
Most pages get listed here by subst'ing a {{Duflu}}
or {{Needtrans}}
template, following the instructions given at any one of several translation-related templates that are added to the article page. Many of the templates found at Wikipedia:Template messages/Translation propose adding the corresponding article here.
See section Translation template usage below for details of the templates available for use on the main article page.
Other ways to find articles for inclusion on this page are:
- Find articles in a specific language category under Category:Expand by language Wikipedia templates. For example, Template:Expand Spanish puts articles into Category:Articles needing translation from Spanish Wikipedia.
- Monitor Recent changes tagged with ContentTranslation keyword
Tagging
If the article is a mere copy of (all or part of) an article in a foreign-language Wikipedia, it can just be tagged with {{db-foreign}} to get added to Wikipedia:Candidates for speedy deletion: we want to discourage people who cut articles from one Wikipedia and paste to another without translating. You can leave a message on the contributing user's talk-page in their own language, using the templates from WP:PNT/Templates for user talk pages or using {{UE}}.
Replacement and restoration
Sometimes, legitimate articles are replaced by foreign-language content. In this case, the last English-language version should be restored from the history.
In addition, you may leave a message on the user's talk-page as indicated above.
Notification
When listing a page here, you might want to find the Wikipedia:Embassy, Ambassador, or Wikipedia:Local embassy member of the Wikipedia that relates to the language the article is in and invite them to move the page to their own Wikipedia. If you don't even know what language the article is in you could use Language recognition chart, and if that fails, some language identification web site, such as Xerox or What Language Is This? to find out. If you have come here from another Wikipedia, please note on this page what you think should be done with the article.
Deletion
If an article has been listed here for two weeks and is still untranslated, it should be nominated for deletion. (See also Guide to deletion.)
Articles that are not in English are still subject to all other forms of speedy deletion should they meet the criteria, and can be nominated for deletion by prod or afd should an editor feel they warrant deletion for a reason other than the language it is in, an article not being in English is not itself a criterion for deletion until the two week period has passed. Also, foreign-language articles are still subject to blp prod.
After translation
When a page listed here has been translated, its entry should be removed (or moved to section Cleanup if the translation needs another pair of eyes).
There are also procedures to follow at the Talk page of the article itself; see template {{translated page}}
and Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate.
Translation template usage
Various templates are available to tag the article page needing translator attention, and one template is available for use here at WP:PNT.
The following templates are available to tag articles with translation issues in preparation for listing the article at WP:PNT:
- {{notenglish}} - "a passage needs to be translated from Language into English"
- {{cleanup-translation}} - "contains translated text and needs attention..."
- {{hidden translation}} - "an earlier translated version may have introduced errors of fact..."
- {{rough translation}} - "may have been generated by a computer or by a translator without dual proficiency"
The following templates are available for use at WP:PNT to add an entry linking to the article having the translation issue:
These templates, and other templates relating to translation issues outside the scope of WP:PNT can be found at Wikipedia:Template messages/Translation.
Templates for article pages
One of the following templates should be used at the top of the article page:
Not English
Template {{not English}} (alias: {{notenglish}}) is available for a page that needs translation in its entirety (so it would be appropriate to delete if not fixed):
- 1. Use the notice
{{notenglish|NameOfLanguage}}
if you know the language used, or{{notenglish}}
if you cannot identify the language of the page in question. - 2. Add a mention on this page.
- 2.1. If you know what language was used, add:
{{subst:Needtrans| pg= | Language=NameOfLanguage| Comments= }}--~~~~
- replacing NameOfLanguage with the English name of the language.
- 2.2. If you cannot identify the language used, add:
{{subst:Needtrans| pg= | Language=unknown| Comments= }}--~~~~
- 2.1. If you know what language was used, add:
- 3. You may also choose to warn the contributing editor with
{{uw-english}}
, the "use English" warning, or suggest submitting it to a different language Wikipedia with{{contrib-xx1}}
, where xx is the language code (see available templates). An alternate template for identifying the article as having been listed here is{{uw-notenglish}}
. - Bilingual versions of this template have been created for Norwegian, Spanish, Polish, and French. See the note on these at
{{uw-notenglish}}
.
Not English section
If there is just a section that needs translation:
- 1. Use the notice
{{Not English|NameOfLanguage|section}}
, with the word "section" as a second unnamed parameter at the beginning of the non-English content. - 2. Add a mention on this page, as above.
- 3. You may wish to place a note on the talk pages of contributors of non-English material, saying that English Wikipedia is meant for English-language content, inviting them to translate it, and, if appropriate, suggesting the location of the Wikipedia edition for the language in question should they wish to post content in that language.
Cleanup translation
Template {{cleanup translation}} (alias: {{cleanup-translation}}) is available if the article has been translated, but needs attention from someone approaching dual fluency in both languages:
- 1. Use the notice
{{cleanup-translation}}
. - 2. Add a mention to the translation cleanup section.
Hidden translation
Template {{Hidden translation}} is available if the article was translated at an earlier point and contained factual errors, while subsequent edits fixed up the English without fixing the errors of fact. The article now looks good and not "machine-translated" anymore, but the original errors of fact are still there, papered over with a facade of good English.
- 1. Use the notice {{Hidden translation}}, for example,
{{Hidden translation|lang-name|version-nbr}}
- 2. Add a mention to the translation cleanup section, using the provided {{Duflu}} invocation.
Rough translation
Template {{rough translation}} is available if the article has been translated, but it looks to be either a machine translation or by someone who doesn't have a good command of the target language, and needs attention from a translator; more than just copyediting is required.
- 1. Use the notice {{rough translation}}, for example,
{{rough translation|German|Deutsch}}
. - 2. Add a mention to the translation cleanup section.
Templates for use here
Once you have tagged the article page with one of the templates above, the banner that appears will provide instructions on using a template to add an entry to the translation cleanup section.
One of the two templates {{Duflu}}
and {{Needtrans}}
should be used at the bottom of the translation cleanup section:
Duflu
Template {{Duflu}} is available for use in the translation cleanup section.
Follow instructions at the expanded banner generated by {{Rough translation}}
or {{Cleanup translation}}
to subst template {{Duflu}}
onto the page at the bottom of the cleanup section. Sample invocations:
{{subst:Duflu |pg=Article name |Language=unknown |Comments= }} ~~~~
you can use the optional orig=
param to add a link to the original article see {{Duflu}} for usage details.
{{subst:Duflu |pg=Nuclear submarine |Language=French |orig=:fr:Sous-marin nucléaire |Comments= }}~~~~
Needtrans
Template {{Needtrans}} is available for use in the translation cleanup section.
Follow instructions at the expanded banner generated by {{tlx|Not English]] to subst template {{Needtrans}}
onto the page at the bottom of the cleanup section. Sample invocations:
{{subst:Needtrans |pg=Wilhelm II, German Emperor |Language=German |Comments= }} ~~~~
Please consider also placing
{{subst:uw-notenglish |1=Template:not English}} ~~~~
on the talk page of the author.
Pages for consideration[edit]
Language identification If you are not completely sure of what language an article is written in, check the language recognition chart and/or try Google translate. If you are sure, consider placing the corresponding template on the creator's talk page. |

pages created by PootisHeavy[edit]
PootisHeavy (talk · contribs) seems to be creating a lot of pages translated mostly from German Wikipedia, but also Hungarian and Polish. I haven't examined them yet, to see if they all belong here; maybe we could mark them as we go through them, and either strike out or delete the entries that look fine in English, and mark the ones that have already been examined and should stay here.
This list was scraped from the Special:Recent changes page. I'm not sure if this is a general technique we should continue to use, but it certainly pulled up a lot of pages real fast in this case.
Each article may be checked for the following items:
- add {{stub}} template(s) from list at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/List of stubs
- add See also section above References section per MOS:ALSO; also {{Portal}}s from Portals list
- consult WP:TRANSLATE about dealing with proper nouns (Theater names; film names, etc)
- replace red links with {{ill}} template pointing to the original de, pl, or whatever article
- check for orphan status and tag {{orphan}} as needed; also {{Refimprove}}, {{BLP sources}} etc.
- if translation is done, change {{Rough translation}} to {{Proofreader needed}} and add {{translated page}} to Talk,
Article status (article link - source lang - what's been done; tbd: what's left to do)
- Almila Bagriacik - de - fixed grammatical errors, {{ill}}; rewrite, stubs, and tagged
- Gina Kanizsa - hu - Add Eurovision template, and stub, and tagged {{proofreader needed}}
- Spoon 21 - hu - Add hatnote, stub, tagged proofreader.
This list was generated by scraping Special:Recent changes on Feb 17 01:48, applying the regex
^\s*N\s+\d\d:\d\d\s+([^(]+)\s+.*?PootisHeavy.*$
, and adding bullet and link brackets. Trailing hyphen, language ident, and anything else you see was added manually subsequently (some of it by PootisHeavy!). A longer list of these articles can be found here. Mathglot (talk) 02:20, 17 February 2017 (UTC) updated by Mathglot (talk) 04:54, 25 March 2017 (UTC)

- Nope, it's Catalan. Mathglot (talk) 03:19, 27 February 2017 (UTC)
- All of the following articles have the same problem to a varying extent:
- All of the post-1915 articles were created by the same user, who has been blocked for copyright violation, i.e. not providing the attribution to the Catalan wiki from which they copied these articles. I note some other articles have been deleted entirely, whilst these articles have had text removed, leaving only the tables of results. In the pre-1915 articles, the articles have long existed in a poor state, with the blocked user recently adding the tables of results. AtHomeIn神戸 (talk) 04:15, 27 February 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for looking into that. For the one in question, I've added the team highlights and player roster, and fixed up some other stuff, but not sure where that leaves it as far as whether it should be kept or not. In any case, I had already added the {{translated}} banner to the talk page, so this one should be covered. Anyway, it's a boring piece of work, I doubt I'll look at any of the other ones on that list, although the way I fixed this one might be helpful to anyone else that wanted to work on the other ones. Church of Saint-Sulpice, Jumet[edit]
The original French article is fr:Église Saint-Sulpice de Jumet. I retranslated section #The excavation of 1967, everything else needs a look. Also, can someone check me on départ d'enduit in that section, that was a tough one. Mathglot (talk) 23:01, 3 April 2017 (UTC)
- I don't know the english words but enduit seems to be a lime or plaster wall covering on the exterior side of a wall's insulation (stucco???) and a départ d'enduit is apparently a thingie to make sure the foot of the wall is straight. Something there about moisture drainage too. I will look at this further if it languishes. The French original is marked as a good article. Don't let that stop any of the rest of you though, my personal list is long and two of them need an enormous amount of work.Elinruby (talk) 07:11, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
- did a quick pass for grammar and obvious problems like a french-wiki template consistent use of present tense and confusion about pronouns. Did not compare to original and this definitely needs to be done. I left 3-4 sentences alone that raised questions in my mind, but I got a lot of the low-hanging fruit (all I am up to at this moment), thus, I hope, making it somewhat more accessible to monolinguals. Based on previous translations of articles about old buildings, I am inclined to believe most of what this says, but again, it was fairly rough and I haven't checked for accuracy yet. - doesn't really correspond to French. I made one significant change based on fr.wikipedia but did not rule out that the discrepancy was based in the sources, and it was fr.wiki that was wrong. See talk. Husband's name is not in fr.wiki, also, but is in fact well-documented. I think I added a reference. Not sure what you are looking for here - verification of content? Elinruby (talk) 04:46, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
- Good point; when doing the translations we kind of automatically assume that the original language has some kind of direct line to Truth, but of course, that's not the case. Plus, I think it's evolved since it was created eight years ago, so diverged from the French. Good job finding refs including for the husband's name. Was looking for verification of facts of translation, but seems to be good, now. Mathglot (talk) 09:59, 11 April 2017 (UTC)

I don't know how close it is to the original. I already cleaned up the first two sections. I'm not sure if the issues with the article are actually grammatical ones, or just awkward wordings chosen by the author.SharkD Talk 11:42, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
- I don't think belongs here, as you say it needs a maths expert rather than language--Jac16888 Talk 16:26, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
- Well, actually it needs both: a math expert that can understand German. Missing either skill risks getting something horribly wrong. Possibly a tandem team of two people, a math expert with a bit of German, and a German speaker somewhat familiar with advanced mathematics could do it. Mathglot (talk) 02:56, 30 April 2017 (UTC)
- It's very technical and btw is more geometry and architectural drawing than pure mathematics. I can read it and it's not gibberish but I would need to research the facts to verify them. My German is definitely not up to this and the French version is even more technical fyi. It's an option for verification though. Elinruby (talk) 04:32, 4 May 2017 (UTC)
- There is some weird stuff, such as where it says, "The result is independent of the order of the steps." This can't be true, since step #4 definitely cannot be done before step #1. The original author is AWOL and has stopped answering questions. I don't want to slap {{clarify}} tags all over the article, as that might scare the author (and other people) away. - I am going to take another look at this just because I am sick of the stuff I have been working on and need a break. I don't think I should try to edit it right now but as a baseline let's say it's 3-d solids so the math may be DiffEq. It may be easier than that though because a lot of it is here is so-and-so's theorem, which I assume can be looked up even if it's a little more complicated than a google. It made perfect sense when I started to read up but this is not light reading for the elevator. It probably also matters that I learned my math in two different languages and neither of them was German. The article possibly has somw relationship to the French version but when I scanned *that* text the proofs all contained trigonometry, so that it's not immediately obvious that you could verify the German->English by looking at the French unless maybe someone did a separate translation and compared. I will see if I can get anywhere with this and note if I do. Elinruby (talk) 11:27, 23 May 2017 (UTC)
- OK I read the thing all the way through although to check any of it I would need pencil and paper, but... the thing with order of the steps? wasn't referring to steps 1 though four; it's talkng about the three steps under number 3, and no, the order doesn't matter. It's like taking three turns to go around a block, and you can take three lefts or three rights and get the same result. Make sense? The rest of it seems ok to me. Do you have any other questions? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Elinruby (talk • contribs) 14:51, 23 May 2017 (UTC)

The initial language of this article was Russian. Language seems ok at first glance, although somewhat stilted and potentially using some odd wording. It needs formatting cleanup and removal of VE and/or CTX errors. Anomie⚔ 13:00, 9 June 2017 (UTC)
- was bored and did a drive-by edit. Cleaned up some erroneous tags. Its biggest problem is that it's a resume really, but hey why not. I'm willing to believe that he's an important enough medical specialist to at least meet the professor rule, and it looks as though he may have some government work as well. The article should be fleshed out to be less resume-like if so. It would also be good to translate the titles of the references, and if he really is all that, he will have been cited in the peer-reviewed journals. I don't have anywhere near enough Russian to even begin that part, although I did fix a couple of very obvious sentence problems. Now it really does need someone who can figure out if those really are the right names for the government agencies, etc; I am willing to bet that some of those redlinks have articles, but not in English. - BigHaz It's clear this is MT or written by someone with poor English skills, with all the false friends ("generality", lol!) but what makes you say it's from Catalan other than the subject area? There's no indication of it in the rev history, nor a Catalan wikidata link in the languages sidebar. Could easily be from Spanish. If we're not sure, best thing is to leave the language param blank. Mathglot (talk) 22:32, 11 June 2017 (UTC)
- I went with Catalan due to the subject matter, rather than anything else. I think I took the title of the source as being Catalan rather than Spanish, too, but looking at it this morning (my time), I don't really know. Haven't tagged pages with this template in quite some time, so it's good to know/be reminded to leave it blank for the future. BigHaz - Schreit mich an 22:39, 11 June 2017 (UTC)

This all started out on this edit at Catalonian Civil War where Parviz overwrote the man's correct name in that article with an English translation of it. He then clicked the red link there to create the new article with the wrong name. His real name is Francesc de Verntallat as can be seen in both Catalan and Spanish Wikipedias. I've now renamed the article back to the correct name. Now that we have those two links, it appears to have been translated from the Spanish one, although not surprisingly the two are similar. - Battle of Bouzegza – Initial language was French.
- Battle of Kalaa of the Beni Abbes (1553) – Initial language was French.
- Battle of Sig – Initial language was French.
- Did a first pass based on French original, which I did need to understand it. Looked a couple of the others on the list, which didn't seem to need as much. These are battles that look important in French conquest of Algeria.
- Djidjelli Expedition (1664) – Initial language was French.
- Emirate of Abdelkader – Initial language was French. Also exists in Italian, and Arabic.
- very heavy going, doing major surgery Elinruby (talk) 21:32, 20 February 2018 (UTC) Big chunks of this bear no relationship to the French article, in particular the parts about the roots of the emirate in sharia law and the wise provisions of the emir, etc. Current en text possibly be kind of readable at this point, still needs serious editing for tone and references. Should be checked for accuracy against the ar wikipedia where applicable. I have had enough Algeria for a while now, but that is the status of this Elinruby (talk) 09:05, 21 February 2018 (UTC)

- Looks like the creator had some serious WP:OWN issues, overestimating their grasp of English. Luckily, the creator is blocked, so trying to correct the page should not be slowed down by edit warring anymore, unless there are sockpuppets. --HyperGaruda (talk) 06:50, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
- Wow just wow. Deleted big chunks of gibberish from first two paragraphs. Came to a screeching halt at the assertion that they were left in Spain, but no, French does say they were abandoned there. Need to look this up as I can't tell, even from French, whether they were disbanded for a time after a military campaign there, or just stranded there, or what. Classic case or original article not being that good. However, I suppose the topic warrants the effort. Not feeling it right now tho Elinruby (talk) 12:51, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
Gibberish, indeed. All, your feedback is needed at Talk:Origins of the French Foreign Legion#Rewrite from scratch. No French required. Thanks particularly to Elinruby for even attempting to tame this beast. (I can explain the "abandoned in Spain" thing later, if needed; but the whole mess needs to be s**t-canned first.) Mathglot (talk) 02:03, 24 May 2018 (UTC)
- I figured out the Spain thing. France literally *gave* the unit to Spain at one point during the Carlist Wars, which I had previous never heard of. Not sure how well that currently comes across. I worked on it a bit more after this comment but it's still pretty incomprehensible in many places. Elinruby (talk) 19:41, 25 May 2018 (UTC)
- So it turns out that this is one of over a hundred MT articles stuffed into en-wiki by indef'ed user OJOM (talk · contribs). There's an entire page available for logging their articles, and I'll probably move this discussion there at some point. See WP:PNT/by user. Mathglot (talk) 09:08, 27 May 2018 (UTC)
- I am fine with that. It certainly belongs with the rest of the MT about the Foreign Legion. I'll chip away at this from time to time but my interest in the topic, while not zero, has limits. I consider some of the other stuff I do a bit more urgent. It would be really nice to get someone familiar with military history to review a whole bunch of stuff. And yet the Foreign Legion is definitely notable... Elinruby (talk) 09:25, 30 May 2018 (UTC)

- Oh it's definitely MT. I caught "Renaissance" translated as "Rebirth" and "tour" (tower) as "turn" which is indeed an alternate meaning for the word, just not one that a human being would expect to find on a castle wall. So it's not just MT, it's stupid early MT and indeed bears no relationship to the French article. Possibly from the museum website? All that stuff about pre-Roman Gaul is probably notable enough to attempt a fixup, if possible. History section needs a LOT of help.Elinruby (talk) 12:33, 1 June 2018 (UTC)
- did a major unFrenching and degibberishing. Is at least not embarrassing now. It was a word-by-word translation of the city government website, with extra gibberish thrown in for flavor. It looks like someone who knows the history but does not speak english added some stuff about the river trade, which I boggled at tracking down, but the rest of it is a decent translation of the source. Not sure what the copyright is on government web pages in France. Maybe none. It would in my opinion be best to finish the editing on this and then work on some additions and references so that it is based on (and credits) the municipal website but is not identical to it and has references to better sources. This is why I left the added material that does not quite make sense. That and I had really had enough, gah. Elinruby (talk) 11:00, 21 December 2018 (UTC)

Important sites? Not sure how to translate it. There seem to be many historic sites that are not monuments really, like mosques, synagogues and palaces, as well as nature preserves or maybe national parks akin to Yosemite. Influence of French on English
The initial language of this article was French. For example, "Les différents parlers en usage" is translated as "the different parlours in use", and Roman numerals are used to denote the centuries. Largoplazo (talk) 18:48, 20 November 2018 (UTC)
- I flagged a mention of knickerhose in the 12th century. Probably should be hose, but I'll check. This needs a lot of format changes which is the sort of mindless task that I want to work on just now, so I will get the thing with the centuries, which is standard usage in French, as is the space before all those colons. There are some questionable assertions (French is an official language of Canada, not just New Brunswick for example) but ya, the translation itself needs help before we get to that. I will at least try to hit the format problems tonight. If someone else would like to work on this as well feel free. Elinruby (talk) 04:13, 21 December 2018 (UTC)
Moral authority#Changing focuses
The language of this article is Latin. Translation requested for the phrase "norma vivendi". Norma could be something normal or standard, vivendi means living apparently (Modus vivendi) but I'm not sure how that fits into the sentence Jac16888 Talk 22:07, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
- "Norm of living" is what comes to mind first. That section is going way to deep for me, though, and my WP:SYNTHESIS alarm is ringing. --HyperGaruda (talk) 06:32, 23 November 2018 (UTC)
- "Norm of living" sounds awkward and unnatural, simply not how we would usually express in English the concept to which it refers. But it has the advantage of being the translation given by others online. I would have suggested "standards for living" or "rules for living"—or even "rules to live by", as "vivendi" is the gerundive, which signals "that which is to be/must be done". These are all more natural to my ear than "norm of living". Largoplazo (talk) 17:51, 31 December 2018 (UTC)
- Or we could just leave it as a fixed expression, as we might for "modus operandi" or "sine qua non" or "savoir faire". Largoplazo (talk) 17:55, 31 December 2018 (UTC)
- I found the ref scanned into Google Books. p.72, as given, tells you what it means at the top:
- Trudeau-Clayton, Margaret (2007). Jonson, Shakespeare and Early Modern Virgil. Cambridge University Press. p. 72. Retrieved 23 December 2018.
Produced with, but distinct from Virgil as formal model was Virgil as moral authority – a norma vivendi
[emphasis in original]
- Trudeau-Clayton, Margaret (2007). Jonson, Shakespeare and Early Modern Virgil. Cambridge University Press. p. 72. Retrieved 23 December 2018.
- So really we should augment the ref (currently ref 13) or add the quote to the article text or just cut the Latin entirely as tautological and demonstrably unhelpful Q.E.D.. 178.164.132.87 (talk) 04:03, 23 December 2018 (UTC)

The language of section "Publications" is Dutch. Book titles need translation. 94.21.238.64 (talk) 07:14, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
- I'm not sure this belongs here. While it's nice to have
|trans-title=
in a {{cite book}} to show the English equivalent of foreign titles, it's not required, and if these are the actual titles of the books in Dutch, there's no requirement to translate them. The title is there to identify the work, for the purposes of Verifiability. This would probably be better as an Edit request at Talk:Sepp family (publishing), and not a section at WP:PNT. - @DGG: Hi, Thank you for your kind attention, I have tried to improve the translation of José Aldunate article. so, I would be glad if you could check it. I will add the rest of the article later on. Regards. --SalmanZ (talk) 00:01, 20 February 2019 (UTC)
- ((U|SalmanZ}}, it's not just the grammar, but the unidiomatic writing. Asone example among many, "José Aldunate began his work as a Moral professor at..." You probably mean Professor of Ethics, or of Moral Philosophy. There are still some sentence fragments, and the quotes need exact references. DGG ( talk ) 05:01, 20 February 2019 (UTC)

- It is, I translated so it doesnt't get deleted since I didn't have much text and material, but that article will be changed quite a bit. I advise you to tag Coppedè district with native speaker needed tag, because that is a bit more peculiar, and harder to find sources that are not Italian.Sourcerery (talk) 18:11, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
- @Sourcerery: Please don't create articles like this. WP:TRANSLATION details the correct procedure if you're not able to translate something properly yourself. Correcting and improve a (often very poor) machine translation is actually harder than just translating something from scratch.--Jac16888 Talk 18:20, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
- Oh come on, how many catalan speakers you think there are, especially on Wikipedia, that article will never be improved. I will replace lot of it anyway.Sourcerery (talk) 18:24, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
- So your solution is to create something poor instead and drop it straight into the mainspace? Or ask people to clean-up after you only for you to replace it anyway? This page has a big enough backlog already, I suggest you work on these in your userspace, or else like I said follow the procedure at WP:TRANSLATION--Jac16888 Talk 18:28, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
- I clearly came here to tell people not to waste time on Art Nouveau in Italy, and instead look into Coppedè district, which doesn't have as atrocious translation, as I can't find much sources that aren't Italian.Sourcerery (talk) 18:33, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
- My point stands then, both of those should be in your sandbox--Jac16888 Talk 18:37, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
- No they shouldn't, you have point about Art Nouveau but nothing I can do about Coppede. Nouveua in Italy is peculiar subject, didn't think anyone would notice it. It usually takes days for pages to get noticed.Sourcerery (talk) 18:44, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
- Just how much of this stuff is there , Sourcerery? I was imagining (based on your comments) that the load of ill-translated unsourceced content you dumped in Galileo Chini was a one-off, and that you were planning to add the necessary citations in the near future. But if you do that, when are you going to start fixing these others? Jac16888, Discospinster, do you see any reason why these two at least should not be moved to draft space for Sourcerery to work on at leisure? Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 22:44, 13 April 2019 (UTC)
