I would like to request for page mover tool to avoid violation of WP:GRP policies. Ts12rActalk to me 06:17, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
- Could you please explain further what you mean by that? (please do not ping on reply) Primefac (talk) 15:40, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
- Context for this request is User talk:Evad37/MoveToDraft.js#Weird problem with the script. Personally, I would suggest ignoring that issue and determining whether Ts12rAc qualifies for page mover on his own merits, as doing anything else is effectively granting owners of popular user scripts the right to overrule policy. * Pppery * it has begun... 17:16, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
- Hrm... I'm not overly convinced of the need for PGM at this point in time, but I will not outright decline this until Evad's back active and we can get an answer to the script issue. Primefac (talk) 17:45, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
Not done per above. Request has been open for over 2 weeks and it's not clear when Evad37 will be back. -FASTILY 22:45, 15 February 2022 (UTC)

When accepting a page at AfC that needs to be moved over a redirect, I would like to be able to delete single revision redirects without going through the CSD process. I see a couple drafts a week like this, some of which I currently avoid reviewing because the CSD process doesn't currently handle AfC draft moves smoothly. Rusalkii (talk) 20:43, 2 February 2022 (UTC)
- Rusalkii, with the new deletion template, do you think this will still be an issue going forward? Primefac (talk) 13:49, 17 February 2022 (UTC)

Being an active in AfC, and the NPP, and some times working on sports and political biographies, i have to move the pages. I wish i had this right so that i can draftify the new/unsourced/spam/non-notable articles directly, or to other titles without leaving redirects. I have been using the User:Evad37/MoveToDraft script for a long time. I have also been working on RM. TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 01:27, 9 February 2022 (UTC)

As an actice AfC reviewer I often encounter drafts that cannot be accepted due to an existing redirect. Because of the difficulties in then getting those redirects deleted at WP:CSD, having page mover rights would substantially streamline things. Devonian Wombat (talk) 06:15, 11 February 2022 (UTC)

- @Primefac: the creation of the AFC G6 template will probably fix most of the issues yes, so anyone watching feel free to decline this request. Devonian Wombat (talk) 20:54, 17 February 2022 (UTC)

In December 2021, I was temporarily given this permission for three months by Primefac [1]. As I stated there, I wanted this permission simply for editing more comfortably, and it has indeed been quite useful for me. I believe all the moves I've done over the last three months have been rightful, an exception being a certain one but that was the result of a disagreement (read about it here). Thus, I am asking for being granted this permission again, this time indefinitely. Super Ψ Dro 19:06, 11 February 2022 (UTC)
- I am actually leaning towards declining, mainly based on the moves performed in early January - vitriolic edit summaries for one, but moves that didn't strictly require the suppression of a redirect for a second reason (the older titles seem to be reasonable alternate names, spellings, or just uncontroversial redirect titles). Will leave this for someone else to comment on. Primefac (talk) 12:15, 17 February 2022 (UTC)

It will be very helpful in organising pages according to guidelines. I have more than 100 page moves in the past, but never ran into trouble for that. When in doubt, I prefer to file a request at WP:RM. Though, admittedly I've never closed a RM, I also wish to note that I don't intend to use this right for RMs anytime soon, until I gain experience in the area. ---CX Zoom(he/him) (let's talk|contribs) 08:33, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
- I'm not seeing a huge need for this perm; I would make an argument that a few of the now-deleted source pages in the move log didn't strictly need to be deleted, and there is only one RM/TR request. There does seem to be reasonable participation in RMs themselves, but I personally hold that experience in lower regard than actual moves and RM/TRs. Will mull it over and/or give another admin an opportunity to weigh in. Primefac (talk) 13:54, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
