Your GA nomination of Chris Martin (baseball)
The article Chris Martin (baseball) you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Chris Martin (baseball) for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. ITN re-closing
Hi there, I decided to keep this away from others on ITN and write it here. I really don’t agree with your comment that there was a breach of neutrality in my closing. The nominator has come up with arguments that administrators engage in vote-counting and simultaneously post a blurb along with an ongoing item for the same story, which are valid points of discussion and contradict some of our basic principles. I never get influenced by the number of oppose votes and give weight on individual opinions if possible. In this case, the nominator presented valid arguments in the wrong place and in the wrong way, so my closing statement wasn’t merely a “consensus-will-not-develop-to-post” summary but also a guide on what to do with those arguments. Best regards.--Kiril Simeonovski (talk) 10:26, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
- Kiril Simeonovski, I cannot fathom why, after that discussion with comments made about it being a bad faith nomination, you would write
While nominator’s argumentation is spot on and deserves attention
. Best to close it neutrally and make a broader discussion on the appropriate talk page if you agree with the nominator's greater point. – Muboshgu (talk) 16:58, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
Baltimore 2015 edits
Our race is human. Stating that race is involved is incorrect. Ethnicity is the appropriate term. Until people realize that our race is human and stop referring to ethnicity as race there will always be conflict among us. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.69.184.59 (talk) 23:41, 11 April 2022 (UTC)
- Read Race (human categorization). And WP:RGW as well. – Muboshgu (talk) 23:45, 11 April 2022 (UTC)
Your résumé
Hi, I noticed you edited an article I was editing at the same time (B. Benjamin), so I took a glance at your user page. Wow, your Wikipedia résumé is very impressive. An admin, almost 3,000 articles created, and all your other great stats. Plus, you like baseball a little bit. I just wanted to say... well done on eveything you've contributed to this project over the past 16 years. 2605:A000:FFC0:D8:FDF2:3EB5:8751:7A62 (talk) 16:36, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you! I hope you like it here and WP:REGISTER an account. – Muboshgu (talk) 16:42, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
- You're very welcome. Wikipedia is lucky to have you. By the way, I made a few more edits to the Benjamin article. If you disagree with anything I did or see any room for improvement, feel free to change them as you see fit. Thanks. 2605:A000:FFC0:D8:FDF2:3EB5:8751:7A62 (talk) 17:51, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
"LGBTQ heads of government"
I see that lots of people have been eagerly adding this category to everyone from mayors to state legislators to God knows what all. You have been deleting them and I agree with you. (I noticed it because the mayor of my city was one of the ones so tagged.) Is there a conversation somewhere about exactly what constitutes a "head of government", or should we start one? Maybe the eager beavers should create a new category like "LGBTQ mayors"? -- MelanieN (talk) 19:50, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
- Maybe https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/Incidents#Persistent_addition_of_bad_categories_by_Sarahlundell_and_refusal_to_communicate here]? -- MelanieN (talk) 19:53, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
- (edit conflict)MelanieN, I've got Annise Parker, Jane Castor, and Sarah McBride on my watchlist. It's really weird, I've counted six brand new accounts doing this, so I created an SPI for it. I'm pretty sure we already have the needed categories, such as Category:LGBT mayors of places in the United States.
- It could be related to that user potentially, I'll take a look at that thread. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:53, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
Connected accounts?
Hi, I refreshed my watchlist and saw that the exact same category had been added to two articles I created, both by accounts created in the last half hour. The two accounts are dedicated to adding the same categories. [1] [2] Should this be followed up as the behaviour is highly...coincidental. Just coming to you as you undid one of them and are experienced. Unknown Temptation (talk) 19:51, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
- Unknown Temptation, I've started an SPI for this (had no idea which account is the "master"). I'll add Sarahlundell to it. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:55, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks. Sarahlundell has been reported to ANI by another user [3] Unknown Temptation (talk) 19:57, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
Rick Herrscher MLB baseball player
I would like to the lead in writing the article for Rick Herrscher. I am Rick Herrscher’s son William Herrscher. My Father is still alive and I have his authorization and power of attorney to create and edit his public information, name and likeness. The photo posted with Hawaii Chiefs is not of Rick Herrscher. I have other photos of Dr. Herrscher with the New York Mets, SMU, and Hawaii Chiefs organization that I can publish.
Please help me take over publication of his Wikipedia page. Thank you, William T. Herrscher 972.333.3311, Dallas, Texas. WMHerrschman (talk) 04:27, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
- Wow, the 1962 Mets?! That must have been some team to be on. From a quick Google search, I can see that you're right about the photo.[4] Your dad wore #45 with the Hawaii Hawks and that photo has #31. Apparently, that's Dale Wise in the photo. I'll make the correction. – Muboshgu (talk) 04:36, 14 April 2022 (UTC)

Phi Gamma Delta
The text that is being reduced isn't already small due to the infobox, so small is allowed. And the use of small here was after a significant discussion, (Phi Gamma Delta's policy on letters is fairly unique among GLOs and so the use of Phi Gamma Delta letters vs. FIJI were both placed there.Naraht (talk) 12:51, 16 April 2022 (UTC)
- Naraht, infoboxes reduce text size. MOS:SMALLFONT is not optional guidance:
In no case should the resulting font size of any text drop below 85% of the page's default font size (i.e. 11.9 px in Vector skin or 10.8 px in Monobook).
