The Summer I Turned Pretty is an upcoming American coming-of-age romantic drama television series that is set to premiere on June 17, 2022, on Prime Video.[1] It is based on the novel of the same name by Jenny Han.
Synopsis
On an annual summer vacation to her family's beach house, Belly reunites with her friends Susannah and brothers Jeremiah and Conrad, and she finds herself in a love triangle with the brothers.[2]

Production
Development
On February 8, 2021, Amazon gave production a series order consisting of eight episodes. The series is based on the 2009 novel of the same name by Jenny Han. It is created and executive produced by Han and Gabrielle Stanton. Also executive producing are Karen Rosenfelt, Paul Lee, Nne Ebong, and Hope Hartman.[3][4][5] The series was filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina.[6]
Casting
On April 28, 2021, Lola Tung, Rachel Blanchard, Jackie Chung, and Christopher Briney were cast as series regulars.[7] In July 2021, Gavin Casalegno, Sean Kaufman, Minnie Mills and Alfredo Narciso joined the main cast, while Summer Madison, David Iacono, Rain Spencer, and Tom Everett Scott joined the cast in recurring roles.[8][9]
Release
The series is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on June 17, 2022.[1]
