Mark Bradford help (again)
Hello again, 15. I'm not sure if you recall, but you helped me with an edit request for Mark Bradford a while back. Yesterday I posted a new request with some proposed additions, and edited the article directly to fix some final (uncontroversial) chronology issues and to fill in some missing citations where there were tags. I declared my COI in the edit summary, all in accordance with the guidelines. The edits were reverted almost immediately with the explanation "Reverted edits made by a COI editor in violation of policy", but I struggle to see which policy was violated... If you have a moment, would appreciate you taking a look at the changes and restoring them if you see fit. Thanks for all of your help, Stewart for HW (talk) 17:27, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Stewart for HW, done. 15 (talk) 22:27, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for your help with this! Much appreciated. If you do have the time to check out my latest request, that would be great as well, but either way, thank you again for your continued assistance. Stewart for HW (talk) 18:41, 2 February 2022 (UTC)
State of Exception/Carl Schmitt
Thank you for your edit to State of exception. I described Schmitt as a Nazi for two reasons. Firstly, as the article's only example is the Reichstag Fire, I felt it implies that the idea is basically a stalking horse for the Nazis' takeover of power. Secondly, Schmitt's page makes frequent reference to his support for the Nazis (twice in the lead section, a section on the Enabling Act, and mentions that he justified the Night of the Long Knives and refused denazification). In this context, not mentioning that he was a Nazi seemed misleading, even if he wasn’t a member when he invented the idea.
If you feel that I’ve misunderstood this, would you consider editing the pages to give a clearer view? Thanks for your time. CohenTheBohemian (talk) 04:42, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
- Hi CohenTheBohemian, I think it should be included, it certainly makes sense to talk about the role the state of exception played in Nazi philosophy and in the justification it provided for authoritarianism in the 1920s and 30s. It should be included in more detail though, I think just having Nazi philosopher in the lead without any other context might be read as us trying to devalue the concept with guilt by association. 15 (talk) 18:21, 21 March 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply. I do agree with your last point; my issue is that at the moment it looks like Wikipedia is doing the reverse by whitewashing a Nazi. Is there a wikiproject page or somewhere to ask an expert to add some of that context? CohenTheBohemian (talk) 02:06, 24 March 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, Wikipedia:WikiProject Philosophy is probably the most related project. I also found this (p. 1013), this could be used. (I will try to find the time to properly read it in the next days and add it, but I make no promises.) 15 (talk) 15:20, 25 March 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for your help. I'll post a message there and have a look at the article myself. CohenTheBohemian (talk) 06:15, 26 March 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks to the article you found, I took a crack at adding some more context in the article. I hope you think it's a balanced view. CohenTheBohemian (talk) 15:16, 6 April 2022 (UTC)

Kaplan Inc
I noticed you removed citations that were sourced on the Kaplan article. I kindly ask you to reconsider. All of the sources were independent. If you didn't think the content was worthy, that's another story. But the sourcing meets Wikipedia guidelines, in my view. If you still disagree, would you be amenable to working this out on the article's talk page? I appreciate your response.HopeIsAGoodThing1000 (talk) 22:10, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- Hello, there is no indication that the awards removed here are in any way notable. Ratemyapprenticeship.co.uk student satisfaction awards and the like are not relevant. I mentioned sourcing because if the awards were picked up on by some outside source, e.g. if The Guardian or the London Times reported on Kaplan receiving the award, there would be a stronger case for including it.
- Do you have a wp:conflict of interest w.r.t. Kaplan Inc.? 15 (talk) 13:10, 3 April 2022 (UTC)

Henley & Partners follow-up
Hi 15. Following up on your recent comment at Talk:Henley & Partners - you had mentioned you intended to revert the unexplained removals and changes
there, but it looks like that may have slipped through the cracks. It especially concerns me that most of the added pieces of content are clear examples of WP:COATRACK, e.g., criticism of the St. Kitts and Nevis government framed as criticism of Henley, criticism of the SIDF framed as criticism of Henley, and most egregiously, the "Controversial clients" section, which is a perfect example of guilt by association. Thanks, Sarah Nicklin (talk) 10:14, 4 April 2022 (UTC)
Talk:Better.com
Hi 15. I reopened the edit request at Talk:Better.com#New York Times article as you suggested. (Two other editors besides me have also commented since you were last there.) I would appreciate if you could take a look at what I wrote regarding the average age of Better's loan officers and the fact that they don't work on commission, and let me know what you think. Thanks! Kristin at Better (talk) 13:06, 4 April 2022 (UTC)

WikiCup 2022 May newsletter
The second round of the 2022 WikiCup has now finished. It was a high-scoring round and contestants needed 115 points to advance to round 3. There were some very impressive efforts in round 2, with the top seven contestants all scoring more than 500 points. A large number of the points came from the 11 featured articles and the 79 good articles achieved in total by contestants.
Our top scorers in round 2 were:
Epicgenius, with 1264 points from 2 featured article, 4 good articles and 18 DYKs. Epicgenius was a finalist last year but has now withdrawn from the contest as he pursues a new career path.
AryKun, with 1172 points from two featured articles, one good article and a substantial number of featured article and good article reviews.
Bloom6132, with 605 points from 44 in the news items and 4 DYKs.
Sammi Brie, with 573 points from 8 GAs and 21 DYKs.
Ealdgyth, with 567 points from 11 GAs and 34 good and featured article reviews.
Panini!, with 549 points from 1 FA, 4 GAs and several other sources.
Lee Vilenski, with 545 points from 1 FA, 4 GAs and a number of reviews.
The rules for featured and good article reviews require the review to be of sufficient length; brief quick fails and very short reviews will generally not be awarded points. Remember also that DYKs cannot be claimed until they have appeared on the main page. As we enter the third round, any content promoted after the end of round 2 but before the start of round 3 can be claimed now, and anything you forgot to claim in round 2 cannot! Remember too, that you must claim your points within 14 days of "earning" them. When doing GARs, please make sure that you check that all the GA criteria are fully met.
If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article nominations, a featured process, or anything else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed (remember to remove your listing when no longer required). Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove your name from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send.
