Question from Zabikn7 (11:57, 30 May 2022)
Hello coach, I want you to help me complete this draft. Edit this draft for me and turn it into groceries.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Zabihollah_Kohkan --Zabikn7 (talk) 11:57, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Zabikn7 - Hi there! I made some edits for you (and redirected Draft:Zabihollah kohkan to Draft:Zabihollah Kohkan), but I'm not going to be able to turn your draft into "groceries" or an article. Instead of providing a link to a Google search, I suggest you provide specific references from magazine or news articles that provide significant coverage of Kohkan's senior career. Also, is Kohkan a forward or winger? Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 14:27, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
- Winger Zabikn7 (talk) 14:29, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Zabikn7 - Great! You can update your draft by replacing each instance of "forward" with "winger". GoingBatty (talk) 14:33, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
- I can provide you with these links to magazines and news articles from Kohkan and you can do the necessary edits. Zabikn7 (talk) 14:35, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Zabikn7 You can read the articles, add more content to the draft, and add the articles as references. I suggest reviewing the short video at WP:EASYREFBEGIN. GoingBatty (talk) 14:41, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
- Winger Zabikn7 (talk) 14:29, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
- GB, I have declined the article again as it was basically re-submitted without much if any, development, and left advice that if resubmitted, it *could* be rejected; it may even be deleted via MfD. There are also 2 similarly-named accounts editing the item (Zabikn7 and Zabikn). Any reason for this isn't clear but of course multiple accounts are permissible subject to WP:ALTACCN... though it can cause confusion and difficulties in communication. Eagleash (talk) 17:45, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, I developed this article. As you said, I added many sources that show that this person is famous. I ask you not to reject my request. I worked hard for this article. Zabikn7 (talk) 02:43, 31 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Zabikn7 I see you added many sources, many of which seem to be statistics sites and/or pages that mention his youth career. I don't see that you've demonstrated that Kohkan meets the criteria at WP:SPORTBASIC. I will not reject your draft, but it is possible for someone to work very hard on a draft that doesn't meet Wikipedia's notability criteria. GoingBatty (talk) 04:04, 31 May 2022 (UTC)

Hey GOINGBATTY how ya doin. I was doing some very respectable edits and then tommi1986 took it down because i didint have a reference but you see i know ryan personally and he asked me to put that information up there. Why would he take it down? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikibikkie12 (talk • contribs) 23:47, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Wikibikkie12 - Because one of Wikipedia's core content policies is Wikipedia:Verifiability, meaning other people using the encyclopedia can check that the information comes from a published reliable source. Since you know Ryan Dixon personally, you have a conflict of interest and should not be editing the article about him directly. Instead, you may post your suggestions on the article's talk page - Talk:Ryan Dixon - along with any published reliable sources you have and the {{request edit}} template to get the attention of other editors. Or, you may use the Wikipedia:Edit Request Wizard if you like. Hope this helps, and happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 02:35, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
Thank you
Hello. I want to thank you for your awesome help editing the Amhara genocide article. The article has been created with B-class rating. If you still see any issues, please let me know. Thank you again! Petra0922 (talk) 10:30, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Petra0922 - Hi there! Looking at Talk:Amhara genocide, I see the article currently has a C-class rating. Digging in to the WikiProject Crime banner, the article failed the "Referencing and citation" criteria for B-class status. I'm wondering if the bare URLs need to be resolved to get the B-class status. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 14:20, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
- You are correct. The editor explained what the issues are and also suggested tips to resolve this issue. I will work to address the style inconsistency and the bare URLs, or any other concerns asap. Thank you for your help all along Petra0922 (talk) 14:29, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hello. Thank you for the much needed edits! I am trying to catch up on CS1 style but still need to work through more in the next couple of days. When making changes, I am trying to build on your and the other edits, and will try not to make things difficult for you:). Thank you again! Petra0922 (talk) 04:03, 6 June 2022 (UTC)
I am back to thank you for the much needed citation clean up you did for this article. You did fantastic work improving this article! I plan to incorporate references in the Table, and then check with the editor if we reached the stage to remove the Clean Up template. Please let me know any concerns. Thank you! Question from Zabikn7 (12:33, 5 June 2022)
Hello Master, help me in developing this draft and turn it from a draft into an article. Thank you --Zabikn7 (talk) 12:33, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher) @Zabikn7: On the assumption this relates to Draft:Zabihollah Kohkan, please see the responses given by GB, above. The player does not pass the sporting notability criteria and, as it stands, no amount of editing by anyone, however experienced, will create an acceptable Wikipedia entry. Eagleash (talk) 12:43, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
- PS as previously noted autobiographical articles are discouraged – see that page and also here, for why. Eagleash (talk) 12:49, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
- My dear teacher, go to my draft, delete everything you need and add everything you need so that the draft does not look like a biography. Please help me. Zabikn7 (talk) 13:45, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Zabikn7 I don't think anything needs to be deleted. As stated at the top of your draft, you'll need to find "significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject" and use the content of those sources to write a biography of his career. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 17:16, 5 June 2022 (UTC)

Question from Zabikn7 (14:23, 5 June 2022)
Your professor is experienced. You have created 85 articles. Help me turn this draft into an article. Take over this project. Please, professor. --Zabikn7 (talk) 14:23, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Zabikn7 85??? I see 54 in this report, many of which were redirects and/or deleted. I will not be able to take over your draft, as I will not be able to find reliable sources due to the language barrier. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 17:31, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
- GB, they may mean me... I have created 85 articles; some of them not too bad! Cheers. Eagleash (talk) 21:58, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Eagleash - I apologize, Professor! GoingBatty (talk) 23:16, 5 June 2022 (UTC)

Question from Charitableguy (16:25, 9 June 2022)
Hi! How do I see how many people viewed my edit or citation? And how do I see how many people clicked my backlink? --Charitableguy (talk) 16:25, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Charitableguy - You can use Pageviews to see how many people viewed an article during a specific period of time, such as this example for the Blackbaud article. If I didn't completely answer your question, you may post your question on Wikipedia:Help desk. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 17:55, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
Talking
Dear GoingBatty are you available to talk to? EdLorJudWarr (talk) 00:55, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
- @EdLorJudWarr Hi there! You can talk to me here or on the Wikipedia IRC help channel (see WP:IRCHELP). GoingBatty (talk) 01:20, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
OK we can talk what do you think about horror films what's your favorite? EdLorJudWarr (talk) 01:23, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
- @EdLorJudWarr Not really my genre. I used to be into Stephen King books and films, and the ones I enjoyed the most were the least horror-y: Stand by Me, The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile. GoingBatty (talk) 01:37, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
What would you think if you create a 1970s–present for the articles Horror film and History of horror films? EdLorJudWarr (talk) 01:36, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
- @EdLorJudWarr The existing decade sections look good to me. GoingBatty (talk) 01:41, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
Are you able to edit those articles yourself? EdLorJudWarr (talk) 01:38, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
- @EdLorJudWarr Yes, I have been autoconfirmed long ago. GoingBatty (talk) 01:42, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
What about 2010s–present that looks a little unnecessary don't you think? EdLorJudWarr (talk) 01:42, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
- @EdLorJudWarr No. GoingBatty (talk) 02:03, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
Would restoring 2010s and 2020s be ok? EdLorJudWarr (talk) 01:43, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
- @EdLorJudWarr No. GoingBatty (talk) 02:03, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
I don't understand why is 2010s and 2020s merged together if you care about 21st century horror films should you also 2000s with them as well? EdLorJudWarr (talk) 01:51, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
- @EdLorJudWarr No. GoingBatty (talk) 02:03, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
It won't be so bad would it? EdLorJudWarr (talk) 01:53, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
- @EdLorJudWarr I'm not interested in reorganizing these articles. GoingBatty (talk) 02:03, 11 June 2022 (UTC)

Short descriptions
Hello, I noticed that you added a short description here. I thought {{Infobox album}} automatically generated these though? ≫ Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }- 08:18, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Lil-unique1 Hi there! I reverted my edit to the Nothing but the Beat article to confirm what the article looked like before I added the {{short description}}. You are correct that the {{Infobox album}} documentation states "This template adds an automatically generated short description." However, I don't see the short description displayed on the article. I have the Shortdesc helper gadget enabled in my Preferences, which doesn't indicate that the infobox is adding a short description.
- Yesterday I was using VisualEditor to edit the article Ali Tennant, and checking each link in the "Album" column of the Songwriting credits table. In Edit mode, when I click on each link, a popup window appears and displays the short description (if it exists). When I click on the Nothing but the Beat link, the popup window does not show the short description. Therefore, I clicked on the link to confirm that Nothing but the Beat is actually an article about an album, and not an unrelated film or television show. I used the Shortdesc helper gadget to quickly add a short description, in the hopes that it will help future editors.
- Hope this long explanation helps, and happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 13:02, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
- Does that mean we need ton add them to all articles using template Infobox album? ≫ Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }- 16:38, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Lil-unique1 - I don't know. You might want to ask at Template talk:Infobox album. GoingBatty (talk) 16:43, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
