Please Do Not Cast Aspersions
What is the meaning of this I made an opinionated general comment in the “general comment” section(literally) and you mention me in the same sentence where you use the word “Attack” why would you cast such aspersion? Do you care to elaborate on that? I don’t appreciate this. You can make your point without attacking me, Yes, I consider casting aspersions a WP:PA. I wouldn’t be happy with you if that occurs again. Celestina007 (talk) 18:38, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
- Oh dear. I am very sorry that i have offended and upset you; i certainly did not intend that. There were no personal attacks ~ i did not PA you, nor did i accuse you of making a PA, so if my writing led you to believe that, again, i am very sorry for poorly expressing myself. My simple point was that you made a statement of opinion in a way which seemed to be stating it as fact, so i pointed that out and that i felt plenty of people were misreading opposes due to age and maturity and responding as though they were just about age. Happy days ~ LindsayHello 08:13, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for the clarification, I probably even read too much meaning into that. I’m happy we have a mutual understanding now. Celestina007 (talk) 15:18, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
"CS1" error
I've seen you "repair a CS1" error before on some edits of mine. What does that mean? I'd just like to learn so that I do not make any more errors of that type when citing sources of websites etc. Thanks! ♥Th78blue (talk)♥ 20:35, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
- Hi there, Th78blue! Forgive me if i over-explain, i just want to be clear, so i may tell you things you already know. CS1 is a series of templates used for making references easier to do and giving them a standardised appearance; you can read about them at HELP:CS1. In many or most of them there is a place for an URL, that is, an external link; some editors, however, put URLs where they don't belong, for example in the
|title=
or|publisher=
or|website=
parameters. Each of those has a different format which doesn't want an active external link; the third, for example should be like|website=www.example.com
, which shows the website, but without the "http://" isn't active, rather just being the address of the site. What i do is take a list of articles with such errors and strip out the "http://" or otherwise correct the parameter(s) to remove the error. For example, in The Rainbow Fish, which both you and i edited relatively recently i edited three examples of|website=
to remove "https://". If you look at my contributions you can say many similar edits of each of these parameters. I hope this is clear; please feel free to ask again if i can be of any help. - Nice to meet you, by the way; i don't think i've noticed your name previously ~ i'll keep an eye out for it going forward! Happy days ~ LindsayHello 14:16, 2 February 2022 (UTC)
- How do you pull such a list? That seems like a very gnome-like way to work and help out! I really like it. Thanks! ♥Th78blue (talk)♥ 21:34, 3 February 2022 (UTC)
- Just looking back at something on my talk page, and i find i didn't answer you, Th78blue. How embarrassing ~ on mine own talk page, too
To answer, i use Category:CS1 errors: external links, which has a list of all the pages with such errors. There are about 18,000 at the moment (over 35,000 when i first noticed them, so errors are being corrected!). Maybe you already worked this out; either way, i do apologise for apparently ignoring your question. Happy days ~ LindsayHello 09:23, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
- Okay, remind me how I do the "cleanup" here again. It has been some time since we discussed this, no worries on missing to reply originally by the way. I know we are all busy people and there is always much work to be done on the encyclopedia! ♥Th78blue (talk)♥ 15:39, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
- It's easy, Th78blue. I do it two ways; with AWB i (as User:Kahtar) load the category, then i have a script loaded which checks and within CS1 templates changes such things as
|website=https://www.example.com
into|website=www.example.com
. Or i open the category page and just start clicking at random, find a page that looks interesting, and find the CS1 error(s) and change them to remove the external links (stripping out the "http(s)://" in any parameter except|url=
or|work=
or one or two others. Hope this helps! Happy days ~ LindsayHello 15:53, 31 March 2022 (UTC)

Broken URL
Please adjust your script to avoid breaking URLs in infoboxes. – Jonesey95 (talk) 15:33, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
- Not a script, added by hand. I don't understand, though, because i'm sure what i added is within the correct syntax of the URL template; i've just gone and experimented, though, and i cannot make it work as i used to, so clearly i've gone wrong somewhere. Thank you for pointing it out to me; i won't use that template again. Happy days ~ LindsayHello 18:00, 8 March 2022 (UTC)

Dalida
Hello. You are wrong on my case and I believe that you did not analyze the DalidaEditor user profile. I have worked with @Binksternet and each of us has contributed solid and secondary sources. Now, DalidaEditor even comes to formulate a complaint against Binksternet. For what reason: war of edition (what you reproach me for). This is the trap he sets for those who want to modify the article of which he wrote a good part and which today is disputed and must be reviewed because it adopts a fan's point of view. Look at his talk page. Cordially --Elenora.C (talk) 23:51, 15 May 2022 (UTC)

For being willing to believe
Hey, Lindsay! It's always frustrating when people who haven't experienced something (or had a different experience with it) don't believe those who have about how it felt to them. Thank you for being willing to believe. Valereee (talk) 14:27, 9 October 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Valereee. My absolute pleasure; obviously, not having experienced it, i have to accept the experience of others and their descriptions and, though in the abstract i don't care especially for the proposal, in the context of the respect that i believe we all owe each other, i have to comment as i did.
- As it goes, i'm fairly active at RfA, though not so much the talk page, and try to evaluate each candidate. Since eight or nine years ago there have, of course, been a number of people i admire who have passed, a number who haven't, as well as a number i don't especially admire on both sides of success. You are definitely an admin and editor whom i admire; keep it up
