==Photo of the week==
This is my own photo of the week (is Week because i dont have enougth time to do it day after day).
'''THIS WEEK SELECTED PHOTO IS:'''
LAST WEEK PHOTO:
''Halo 2'' multiplayer screenshot from press kit, featuring the map Zanzibar found in
Halo_2
==Image:Hollywood Sign.jpg==
The aerial photo that you uploaded,
Image:Hollywood_Sign.jpg, has two very clear copyright marks on the photo, and as far as I can tell doesn't qualify for a
Fair_use exemption (also see
Wikipedia:Fair_use). Unless you can convince me otherwise, I will probably report the photo to
Copyright problems. Google has some great aerial and satellite photos from the USGS that are
Public_domain, but there are others, like the Hollywood sign photo, that are clearly copyrighted.

:I saw that you had removed the image from the
Hollywood_Sign article. Thank you for doing that, and also removing any other images that you've uploaded that may be of questionable copyright status.
:It's a shame that the aerial image of the Hollywood sign could not be used. I know someone who occasionally flies over the LA area and who has already added some aerial photos to the Wikipedia. I will ask them if it would be possible for them to try to recreate the photo.
:The copyright status various images available from Google can be confusing since many of them, especially on Google Maps, are public domain images from the
USGS or other US government agencies. The Wikipedia already has many examples of those types of images in use in articles, and they are often a helpful addition to articles.
:I've also used the US
Library_of_Congress website to look for images for the Wikipedia. They do a very good job of noting the copyright status of the images that they have. Anything older than 1923 is in the
Public_domain, and if the copyright wasn't renewed, there are images at the LOC that are newer than 1923 that are also in the public domain. They have photos from around the world. Among the images that I've uploaded to the Wikipedia were a couple from the Middle East and North Africa.
:As for the Hollywood Sign photo itself: Yes, it should be deleted from the Wikipedia servers. I think officially those sorts of things are supposed to go through either the
Copyright problems or
Wikipedia:Images_for_deletion pages. As I read the page, the photo doesn't quite fit any
Wikipedia:Criteria_for_speedy_deletion, although you might try adding
{{db-copyvio|url=url of source}} (adding the URL of the Google page to the template) to the image page and seeing if it miraculously disappears.
